Overview

The Silo3, a versatile workhorse, that's easy to play, comfortable and sounds like a higher end guitar. The solid hardwood body is attached to the solid maple neck via a Music Man designed 5-bolt neck joint. The neck heel is contoured and rounded over for easy and comfortable access to the higher frets.

The double cutaway, contoured, hardwood body is fully sculpted and shaped for comfort. All sharp edges have been eliminated and you have just the bare essentials you need for a comfortable, solid body shape that never feels awkward.

The asymmetrical cut maple neck is slimmer on the treble side and thicker on the bass side, for effortless movement as you move around the neck. Thick enough for great tone, thin enough for easy playability. The medium-sized fret wire is easy to fret and offers great intonation up and down the neck.

The pickguard is loaded with two high-output single coils and one overwound humbucker which have clear bell like tone, but can also shred and emote all the nuances of your playing. A 5-way selector switch is wired to a single volume and tone control.

The vintage-style tremolo bridge has a comfortable area to rest your palm on. The solid saddles offer adjustments for height and intonation.

This guitar should cost a heck of a lot more!

Comments about Sterling by Music Man SUB Silo3 Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar for my 9 year old son to learn how to play since he wants to follow in his Dad's footsteps. Out of the box, this thing sounds great and plays great. Very comfortable guitar to play. I am stoked at the price range that Music Man and Sterling by Music Man targeted with this guitar but because of the quality of this guitar it could definitely be sold for a lot more. The pros to having played this guitar are very many. Again, surprisingly good quality from the finish of the paint to the assembly of the guitar to the hardware. Also surprising is this thing is pretty versatile as far as different tones go. Very comfortable to play. Stays in tune and will definitely help motivate entry level players to play more. I believe even mid grade players as well. This is a guitar that someone can buy knowing nothing about guitars, upgrade to other higher end guitars as time goes by but still keep this one as a back up or a simple go to guitar or just go and have a jam session with an old sentimental friend that helped teach them how to play. I even dig that the truss rod wheel is included on these guitars for easy truss rod adjustment should it ever be needed. As far as cons go, I honestly can't think of any. I guess if I compared it to higher end guitars I could but when I compare it too entry level guitars and even some mid level guitars, this one would be the first choice.

Comments about Sterling by Music Man SUB Silo3 Electric Guitar:

Best guitar in my opinion for the money It plays like a higher end guitar for sure. I did change the bridge pickup to a Dimarzio Air Zone. Stock bridge pickup sounded a little too brittle for me. The singles sound fine just noisy. It's light and very comfortable. The neck feels and plays great. Trust me this is one super guitar for the money. You might want to modify it but it's a joy to play. Great for a beginner and an experienced player.
