The Sterling by Music Man Cutlass SSS electric guitar brings back a popular modern classic design with versatile sound. Its comfortable double-cutaway basswood body and slim maple neck give you easy playability, while the HSS pickup configuration with 5-way switching provides a diverse range of bright, singing tones. Express yourself with the vintage-style tremolo bridge and match the iconic Music Man esthetic with the oversized 4+2 headstock.

Fast Maple Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard

The slim maple neck with rosewood fingerboard plays fast and smooth. Its satin finish glides easily in your hand while the narrow frets allow effortless bending. The 9.5" radius feels familiar to electric guitarists, facilitating quick runs up and down the neck. The rosewood fingerboard brings out balanced tone and sustain.

Resonant Lightweight Body With an Iconic Silhouette

The basswood body keeps the Cutlass lightweight while still producing bright, resonant tone. Its contoured double-cutaway shape fits comfortably against your body. The gloss finish and oversized 4+2 headstock give it the sleek Music Man esthetic. Plug in the Cutlass SSS to harness versatile tones in a familiar, easy-playing electric guitar.

Versatile Tones With SSS Pickup Configuration and 5-Way Switching

The Cutlass SSS guitar gives you an array of versatile tones that smoothly transition from genre to genre. It features a pickup configuration with three Ernie Ball-designed single coil pickups - one at the neck, one at the middle and one at the bridge. The 5-way pickup switch lets you access a wide tonal palette, from thick, warm neck pickup tones to bright, cutting bridge pickup tones. The parallel wiring preserves note clarity even when combining more than one pickup.

Expressive Playing With Vintage-Style Tremolo Bridge

The vintage-style tremolo bridge on the Cutlass SSS gives you expressive techniques for your playing. Use the tremolo arm to add vibrato, dive bombs and other effects. The Music Man-designed bridge provides smooth, stable tuning and intonation across the range of motion. Sculpt your sound with everything from subtle warbles to extreme pitch effects.

It sounds amazing, can get sexy pinch harmonics out of it if you hit them right, but the bridge pickup came damaged a little bit. It comes and goes. other than that, its pretty solid

Used at a 4 hour performance. Held up very well. Pickups are impressive with real selection distinctions. For a value guitar i say it's a keeper. Great job Sterling by Music Man.

I was learning how to play on a super cheap guitar about 5 years ago or so. It was sold without my knowing, and I had been wanting to get a new guitar since. I was given the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass for my 30th birthday this year and a copy of Rocksmith to learn how to play. I'm loving this guitar! The neck and fret board feel great and it's very easy to move your hand along while playing. The color is just sickening. The pickups are pretty receptive; almost too receptive at times. Which gives you some fret buzz if your volume knob is turned all the way up to 10. You can get rid of it mostly with some tweaking of the volume and tone knobs. All in all, this has been a great guitar to begin learning again with. I play on it for at least an hour a day after work, and it's been a truly joyful experience. Would definitely recommend this guitar.

They are similar in size but they won't be exact. It may require some modification to get to fit.
