This thing is AWESOME for the price and for a short scale guitar. A little background. I'm 5'7" and almost fiddy years old. Played professionally for 7 years after college with some extremely talented musicians (some were majoring in music performance - one went on to get a masters etc). bought a used PRS studio model guitar (HSS) in 1990 for a grand. took me a looonnng time to pay off my credit card as a starving musician but I obviously have owned top of the line. I have 12 guitars. Quite embarrassingly, I only learned about differences in guitar scale about ten years ago. I smacked my forehead and thought (no wonder my PRS is easier to play than my strat! (backup guitar)). Since then, it occurred to me that all the guitar greats had huge hands or long fingers and think about this - perhaps a 5'7" guy with proportionate hands/fingers might have a harder time playing a guitar that Steve Vai and EVH seem to play with ease? ya think? duh. also, if you don't know what I'm talking about I'm referring to the length of the neck (distance between nut and bridge). Strats are 25.5" Les pauls are 24.75" so thats why les pauls feel easier to play and for string bending etc. fender mustangs and jaguars are 24" scale (and the new duosonics) My PRS is a 25" scale. if you think those tiny difference don't have an impact, think again! huge impact. anyway, since then I've been experimenting with smaller scales like the fender squier cyclone which is a les paul scale and awesome to play. wanted a 24" scale to mess around with so I got one for super cheap from Rondo but its god awful and doesnt stay in tune for more than 30 seconds (ive had great guitars from there too though). anyway, I figured this was an opportunity to try a very inexpensive 24" scale. the neck is a bit wider than the rondo - a very good thing. but the neck and overall quality are fantastic (for the price). i don't want to get carried away but cheap o guitars nowadays are amazing. cont....

Nice bundle

It is a great package deal. The guitar did have a few small blemishes. Besides that the finish and overall look are awesome. I was surprised with the sound quality.

We want to thank Ken at the Plano store for helping us with a guitar for my son. He's so pleased. When we first arrived no one really wanted to help us but then we found Ken. He was more than helpful. It wasn't even his area. He was such a good salesman. Thank you so much I feel sure he will get all my sons business. Thanks again Scott should take some lesson on salesmenship from Ken

Comments about Squier Strat Pack SSS Electric Guitar with Fender Frontman 10G Combo Amplifier:

This was a Christmas gift for my son who at the time was only 10 and honestly didn't care much about it, it was decor for his room. It was from his grandfather who says don't worry he'll pick it up when he's ready. He was right about 6 months ago my son started learning from videos online. He's not easy on things, he's ALWAYS been rough and has not cared for any of his things. He's transported all over since playing. We have not had one problem with the guitar or amp. He did receive the Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster this Christmas, he loves it, but he still plays his fender squire,i didn't expect him to bc of how much he wanted that Stratocaster, but he still loves his first.l This is perfect for anyone beginning, the guitar alone is worth $200, IMO, so the amp, gig bag, and strap just make this deal sweeter.

        Great guitar

Comments about Squier Strat Pack SSS Electric Guitar with Fender Frontman 10G Combo Amplifier:

Very nice small guitar purchased for my son's birthday upon the recommendation of a colleague who has been laying for 20+ years. My son loves it! He stated how easy it was to play, and commented that it was much more comfortable than the acoustic guitar he has been playing for a few years. It does not come with a case, and I could not find a link to one that would fit this guitar or I would have purchased that as well. Very good buy!

Comments about Squier Strat Pack SSS Electric Guitar with Fender Frontman 10G Combo Amplifier:

I am a bass player looking to improve guitar skills and bought this 24" Strat separately from a different site. I couldn't be more impressed by it for the money. It is well made, very light, and very easy to play for someone with smaller fingers/hands like myself. Tuners and bridge are solid. Pickups are surprisingly good for a model in this range with almost no detectable hum. And tone control actually offers a range of usable sounds for each pickup setting. It even looks attractive for a cheaper guitar, with nice 50s-style vintage sunburst and slightly aged-looking pickups, pickguard, and knobs. For people who want a shorter scale guitar and are unable to afford, say, the Vintage Modified Mustang or Jaguar, this is an excellent alternative. Thoroughly recommended!

We got it out of the box. tuned it and were ready to play. My grandson loves it! It is a very well made guitar and I would recommend it for anyone looking for an inexpensive entry level guitar.
