I love this guitar
I got this as a Christmas gift. Before that, I had become a pretty experienced guitarist using my dad's guitars; I didn't actually own one of my own. The amp's distortion is pretty good. It doesn't have any mids control knob, though. The case is kinda flimsy, but it gets the job done. The guitar plays really well. I did so many bends, though, that I broke the high E string within a week. I replaced all the strings with Ernie Ball strings and now it plays better than I ever could have imagined. Thank you Squier, for mailing such a good instrument.

Questionable quality of guitar
Guitar was damaged right out of the box. One of the frets was raised higher than the other frets and it made it impossible to play the E string on that fret without a weird vibration. The quality of the guitar is very entry level. The package overall is very competitive, however. You get picks, guitar cord, amp, carrying case, guitar strap, and guitar. The quality of the manufacturing that the guitar is where the improvement needs to be made. If you get a good guitar, one that does not have any defects, then this is a really great deal.

This guitar was perfect for my daughter age 11 who just started her guitar lessons. But the first thing I will recommend though is to swap the strings. I would recommend elixirs to make playing more enjoyable. #sweepstakes

Have had this a month now, Good sound, easy to learn on, narrow neck and low string height is great for beginners. Only issue in the cable between the guitar and the amp. The connector isn't very sturdy. I've replaced it already. Other than that great starter setup.
Awesome package deal for any buyer!
