Squier

collapse expand iconDescription

The Squier Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic electric guitar blends the classic feel of a Stratocaster with the fuller, warmer nature of dual P-90-style pickups. The Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic unveils a wealth of tones perfect for guitarists seeking to stand out. This daring axe makes the perfect match for players looking for a sharp look, comfortable feel and a different kind of single-coil sizzle from their Strat-style guitar.

Snazzy Short-Scale Provides Effortless Playability

The Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic features a slim, comfortable maple neck and fast-playing 12"-radius laurel fingerboard—all on a slightly shortened 24.75" scale length, providing effortless convenience for guitarists of all sizes. A gloss neck finish lends a slick feel, while vintage-style tuners keep things tuned accurately and smoothly.

Sizzling Tone From Fender-Designed Pickups

This axe gets its bold tone from a pair of Fender-designed alnico soapbar single-coil pickups. A 3-way selector switch provides a range of tones from bright to warm, while push-pull controls enable series/parallel operation and phase switching in the middle position for even more tonal variety. The compensated wraparound bridge works with the pickups to produce a resonant, harmonically rich voice.

Daring Aesthetic With Classic Inspiration

The Paranormal Strat-O-Sonic's Crimson with a Red Transparent and Vintage Gold finishes provide a daring pop of color, offset by the black pickguard. Stylistic nods to the past include the Stratocaster body shape, control layout and black "bell-style" knobs. A perfect fusion of classic and modern, this axe is sure to turn heads.

I've purchased more expensive US guitar's with worse QC. This guitar came out of the box set up well and plays great. I may change the pickups for the line but the stock are completely fine.

#sweepstakes. I play a lot of shoegaze type music as well as desert rock and this guitar is perfect for not only those sounds but any sound of guitar you may choose or interested in. The P90 pickups are classic and the feel of the guitar is absolutely amazing

It has a lot of versatility and feels great to play. Reviews talk about a buzzing sound, but I personally haven't experienced this; it should also be a simple fix if that's the case. I would feel good giving this to a beginner, or just anyone. A great guitar, especially for starters.

  • Great sound, coil splitting feature, easy to play
