nice guitar

By colton cherney

Comments about Squier Jim Root Signature Telecaster Electric Guitar:

After waiting since the beginning of February, I finally received my guitar a few weeks ago. I got mine in the white finish and black pick guard. its BEAUTIFUL. The guitar itself plays excellent right out of the box. the only thing I had to do to it was lower the action a little bit, but that's just personal preference. The only reason I gave this guitar a four out of five stars, is because the pickups that come in the guitar are pretty bad. I put emg 81/60's in mine and its now a 5 star guitar. so if youre interested its a great guitar, just be ready to possibly replace the pickups.

Awesome Guitar

By PEDRO URIAS

from San Diego, CA

Comments about Squier Jim Root Signature Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I just got the Jim Root white Tele after waiting months for it to be in stock and I must say it was well worth the wait. The guitar has a great finish, the neck is very combortable to play and one of the things that amazed me the most was that even with the factory strings (which are not heavy gauge) the guitar can be tunned to Drop B without string buzz or having the spaguetti strings, and it keeps in tune. I will be changing the strings to a heavier gauge but that's just a personal preference. The string thru body give it tons of note sustain even when played acoustically, and the neck has the little cutaway at the heel which makes it easier to play the higher frets. The pick ups are really more for heavy music, and it only has a volume knob but it works amazingly because the volume knob takes off some of the gain so not only can you control the volume but the distorsion as well giving you a lot of tone posibilities.

My Favorite guitar to date

By Max Dziewit

from Middleboro MA

Comments about Squier Jim Root Signature Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar with my own money for my 17th birthday. I had been wanting this since i heard about it at namm last year. This thing is a complete beast I have the white one and it does everything I ever want to do. It plays Slipknot very very well and I can tune it to standard and play john mayer with it easily. The cutaway at the neck joint is amazing i always struggled with my 60th anniversary standard strat with that piece of wood that gets in the way whenever I tried to play higher on the neck. This guitar is a complete winner for the person that wants an all around amazing guitar for only $400 and its amazing paired with the orange micro terror. Eventually i removed the EMGs out of my strat and out them into this tele to complete the Jim Root vibe that the guitar has. I love how simple it is with just the volume knob and nothing else but a pickup switch I hate having to deal with the tone knobs and I removed them from my EMG strat. All of my friends love this guitar and I love it too and I recommend it to the Jim Root/Slipknot/Stone Sour fans (like myself) and anyone looking for just an amazing guitar at an amazing price for any situation. Also the staff at Guitar Center Braintree where I purchased this guitar were so very helpful that day and i couldn't thank them enough for helping me to get this guitar if you have the money buy it its more than worth it mine had Birdseye maple on the neck which I was shocked by and the compound radius that the fender 1 has but it doesn't have the jumbo frets like the fender 1 go to your local guitar center and play one u have to play it to believe how amazing it really is

Comments about Squier Jim Root Signature Telecaster Electric Guitar:
This guitar is amazing! Over the years I always wanted one, but just couldn't go the route of buying one. I finally got sick of having issues with all of my other guitars and bit the bullet to get this. WOW, was I surprised when I got it!

I played it for a couple of weeks and loved it so much, I purchased an additional one in white on black!!!!
First impressions, the weight of the guitar is solid! Alot of complaints about the weight, pickups, and other things, but it feels great about this guitar. You can hear the acoustic resonance of the strings when the guitar is unplugged. The Mahogany body really enhances the sound and balance. The matte finish gives it an excellent feel and touch. Solid neck bolt on body and man oh man does the all black look good!

I traded in my Epiphone Dot and I am so glad that I did! I am now selling my other guitars to buy an additional one in white on black.

The sound plugged in is great. It is unlike anything I have ever played before. You can get those melodic sounds of a Telecaster as well as the drive and crunch out of a Les Paul (almost) You get a good deep resonance when playing. I run this guitar in black through an Orange CR60C. Plays excellent clean and distorted. I run 3 mainly different setups. Clean with delay for swells, slightly distorted for lead, and heavily distorted for other needs.

My musical taste is hard rock, metal, and praise and worship. Somewhat of an eclectic set, but I play them all with worship being the main thing.

The guitar sounds great for me when playing overall. From standard tuning all the way down to drop D, I haven't gone any further down.

Overall if you are on the fence, get off and get it. I am not endorsed or pushed to give this review. I love it and moving full speed ahead.

CON: The white takes on colors and markings because of the satin finish. FYI

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend!!!!

Comments about Squier Jim Root Signature Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Great guitar for the money. Good feel, fast neck. Heavier than my Les Paul, which was surprising. The pickups were also a pleasant surprise! Very good tone, and punchy! Decent set up out of the box, gave it a quick tune and rolled with it. Intonation was right on. Would definitely recommend!!
