I went in originally looking for an acoustic. I saw this hanging on the wall and said why the heck not. I looked at the price tag and thought it was going to feel cheap, sound cheap, play cheap. I sat down and was IMMEDIATELY blown away. The fret board is smooth. Sliding your fingers is also easy and smooth. It could use nicer pick ups on it (personal) but other then that if you're on a budget or need a quick fix because you're out of town I HIGHLY recommend this. I have had all guitars from Prs Mira's to American teles so I am highly satisfied with what I got for the price. New or experienced players-THIS GUITAR IS FOR YOU

The color of the guitar is awesome. The only problem is with the tuners. They are horrible to say the least but this is expected with an economically priced guitar such as this one. Other than the tuners I have found no other issues except not being able to play it on stage until I can afford the Fender tuners I need. I tried to play it on stage last week and had to put it down because I had to tune it constantly. If Squier continues to sell these guitars they should put locking tuners on them and up the price a little.

Comments about Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

Saw this in a "Coming Soon...." advert, a couple months ago. "Surf Green" caught my eye. This is a nod to the West Coast surf scene, and at this price point of guitars, it's worth looking into if a color speaks to ya. A lot of people rattle on about all the mods they plan on doing, since it's a "cheap" guitar. C'mon, now, y'all know you aren't going to change a string on it, til one breaks. No need to try convincing strangers that a Squier is beneath your station, in life, lol. If you could afford more guitar, you can step up, even within the Squier brand. This review is for those who want a sweet looking rig, and are wondering if you can buy anything decent at this price point. Absolutely.

You don't need to change out the pickups; it's set up, and sounds like, what a telecaster is supposed to project. Twangs from the bridge, rich velvet at the neck. Very acceptable variations in the sound, rolling on/off of the tone. And really, with all the manipulations available with these amps today, you've got to be something special before blaming a guitar for your noise, lol. Got skills? Then you can make sweet sounds with this. And if you're like most people, this guitar has plenty of headroom to learn and practice.

A lot of people voice concerns about the frets (and overall build quality) within this line. I'm old-school. So I'm def going to look/touch/smell/taste before I buy. Zero issues with the frets - smooth along the length of the neck, both sides. Pickup selector switch seems like it will hold up if you aren't hammering it up/down. I can't speak to the internals, because everything is solid, at the moment. I've had to break out the solder on a Squier strat - I think anybody should be willing to work on their guitars, if wires get loose, or at least know someone who can/will.

Off the wall, this sounds great (Vox combo) clean, and is plenty suited to take you far along your journey of sound. Play on, kooks!

Amazing guitar. Played like butter right out of the box. The tone and versatility of this guitar are amazing. And the surf Glenn pearloid finish it to die for. I stayed up all night playing it after it arrived. Get one.

THIS IS NOT A HIGH DOLLAR GUITAR

      By Eugene

Comments about Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

I gave it 5 stars for the price and the quality of the product. This is a beginners guitar but anyone can play it because the neck is straight and the intonation is spot on. No matter new or used you will always need to get a setup on a guitar with that in mind just a few corrections and it was dialed in. Pickups aren't bad nice and clean or dirty grit when pushed. With foot peddles now days you can make a LP sound like an acoustic so now for the color. As I am color blind, my wife says it's sea foam green so I must take her word.

Comments about Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

From the moment I picked up one of these beauties from my local GC I was in love. I saw them available online, but many guitars in this price range aren't even worth their low tag prices, so I refused to purchase one til I got my hands on it.

When I finally got my hands on it, I was amazed with how great it played. It delivered everything I could want and more from a Tele (which isn't not the same for the other Squier Teles). I felt immediately connected to the guitar in an instant and I haven't hardly been able to put it down since.

You'll notice all the positive reviews for this guitar, believe them. This a Squier, but it's built and plays more like Fender than a Squier. Right out of the box it's a great guitar, I don't recommend any hardware changes unless you don't love beautiful sound or have a Dr. Frankenstein complex.

Sometimes you get more than what you pay for, and if you buy this guitar you will. I would happily pay 2-3 times what I did for this.

Comments about Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

This telecaster the FSR Bullet , at 149.00 is better made than the Anfinity series teles at 199.00. Reason is that the FSR's are made much better from Indonesia than the Anfinities from China. Also if it means more to you, the FSR's have better tuners and inverted jack plug. And best part is they have the SKUNK stripe on back of neck that Anfinty does not have.

This is my first Telecaster - My wife bought it for me as a Christmas gift. I love it.
Out of the box it was just sweet. Sounds great amped and pretty good without any juice.
For less than $200, I don't think she could have gotten me a better present - AND she bought me a Pignose!

Comments about Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

The color jumped out at me so picked it up just for kicks. The first thing I noticed was the weight, this thing is hefty solid basswood. The neck profile felt great and the frets were smooth, action was a very comfortable medium low and the relief was nearly perfect. I goofed around with it unplugged for a bit and I was stunned by the playability so plugged in with 100 watt Marshall on the crunch channel, rock and roll heaven, the pickups are quiet and soulful. I but money down on it and snapped it up the next day.
Bottom line-this thing performs way above it's pay grade. It's as good, if not better than instruments 2 or 3 times it's price range. Go play one and find out for yourself.

The color on this bad boy is amazing. When you look at it, you want to play it. I've been playing guitar for 20 years and this thing rocks. Needs some fret work, and definitely some new strings right off the bat. I recommend getting a set up from Guitar Center. Their Guitar Techs are super well qualified. Other than that, this guitar is perfect for surf rock, country and even a little blues. You need this in your life!!

Ok, yes it's a Squier, but WOW!!! Arrived ready to play, tone for days. This is a great guitar for the money. I have oiled the rosewood neck, changed the strings and just whaled on it. Going through my Blues Jr. it sounds every bit as good as my American Telecaster.

The color is great, neck and frets great! Gonna get the nut replaced, only thing Im not impressed with, but, you get what you pay for I suppose.String action high enough to where its noticeable.

Comments about Squier FSR Bullet Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard:

I bought this on sale to use as the base for a partscaster. When it arrived I plugged into a tweed Blues Jr. and was blown away. While I'm sure the electronics underneath the pickguard are not at the same level as it's American-made siblings, this guitar blew me away. Fit and finish were good. It needs very little in the way of set up and plays like butter. The only thing I noticed out of the box was that it went out of tune pretty quickly. Most likely this is due to the new strings (and I do a lot of bends), but I'll keep an eye on the tuners after I've broken in a new set of XLs. I'm still going to forge ahead with the partscaster idea, but honestly I'm keeping the old pickups on hand just in case.

One note, the Bullet series is built in Indonesia. I personally find the QC to be a little better for the Indonesian guitars. I did not have an Affinity series on hand to compare this with head-to-head, but I was not disappointed.

I own a lot of nice guitars, some new, some vintage. This is a great guitar to play and tremendous value, made even better by getting it on sale at GC. As always the staff at GC in Arvada were tremendously friendly and helpful (thanks JJ).

No, it's not an American made tele, but fantastic for the price. Beautiful finish and wonderful feel to the neck. Obviously there are cons; the tuners are cheap, fretboard thin, and the frets a bit high, but for the price it's hard to imagine anything better. More than that, it's hard to imagine anything better at twice the price. Is this a gigging guitar? Probably not. But a steal for a practice guitar? Absolutely. Incredibly glad I bought this.

Saw this online last year and really liked it. Saw it in the store, but the color looked different. Waited awhile, saw it online again and they were back ordered. After placing my order and a few communications saying it was coming,my order was cancelled.Ordered the butterscotch one after the sale. When I went to pick it up at the store the surf green one was there. Picked it up, played it, had to have it. After speaking with the salesman, I was able to get it for the original order price. This is an excellent value. Everything looks, feels, sounds and works as it should. The color is a bit different than in the picture (closer to a mint green). to online Buy this guitar. I've been playing for 50 years and this is my first Tele. I have (too) many other guitars, several Squiers, which all perform well.

Waited for one to become available and then ordered online. Glad I waited. It's a very nice guitar with good sound and play-ability. I love the color and the rosewood fingerboard is exceptional. Would definitely use this in a gig without hesitation.

My only complaint is with the tuners. They feel cheap and do not turn smoothly. I will be upgrading them soon.

I've read and heard a lot of comments about the Bullet series. I did not expect much from this guitar and really only wanted it as a practice instrument and a backup to my other guitars. As someone who has played guitar for over 50 years, I really like this little Tele. It is a nice addition to the other electrics in my collection. Glad I made the purchase.

Boy have entry-level guitars come a long way! The fit and finish is superb. Sounds really nice. Tuners are very similar to my MIM Strat. Body is routed for a humbucker under the neck pickup. Tone and volume pots are mini's but actually work better than my Strat's! This is clearly Superior to the higher-priced Affinity model (China). This one is made in Indonesia by Cort where the Standard models are made. Great value for the money. An excellent student guitar or have fun modding it!
