Great bass for little money

By Jose Luis Orellano

from Caguas, PR

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Jazz Bass Electric Bass Guitar:

This bass came in perfect condition, very playable out of the box, just needed a little truss rod adjustment (1/8 of a turn) to obtain a very low, very fast, no buzz, great playing string action. For the price you can't get a better practicing or even a "gigging" bass. I'm sure that this bass could get the job done in a gig in case of an emergency. The shipping couldn't be faster and the customer support has no match. Five stars, no doubt... Jose L. Orellano

Surpassed my expectations

By Jonathan Bradley

from Belmont, NC

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Jazz Bass Electric Bass Guitar:

I've played guitar (hobbyist) for close to 20 years and never played a bass. I'm shocked it took me this long to pick one up. I can definitely see myself getting years of enjoyment out of this instrument. Good job Squier (Fender) on this bass. I could see picking up a MIM or MIA Fender model later, but for now, this one's the baby. After it had a chance to sit unboxed and cool down from being left in the sun on the porch by the delivery guy (not his problem/fault, just reality), it tuned up and played like a dream. After sitting overnight, there was a bit of string buzz. Further settling from the hot sun, I guess. So after a quick neck adjustment, saddle adjustment, and retune, it was back to perfection. Volume Pots are quite smooth and volume rolls on and off in an acceptable taper. Same can be said for the tone. Jack plate was tightened (pleasant surprise) and didn't need to be played with. The finish is quite smooth and a cursory inspection didn't turn up any blemishes. Pickguard was installed quite well, no angled screws. Very pleased.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Jazz Bass Electric Bass Guitar:

Bought as a gift for a beginner. Worth more than the price to be honest. It's comfortable as all Fender/Squier products and the finish on the brown sunburst is beautiful as well.

Despite the price this is a very high quality bass. It's nice and solid and I've never had any problems with mine. I would recommend this bass to both beginning and experienced bassists.

This is a good bass to learn on. It is reasonably priced and the neck is right for my short fingers. I'm having fun learning to play with this bass.
