I've had this product for over 6 years now, and I have loved this mic. I even use it for my acoustic guitar and get great full sounds out of it, and it records great from a foot away. I highly recommend this mic.

Most of the comments seem to be related to recording studio work, etc. We are a working band, playing indoors and outdoors in all kinds of conditions. We play Bluegrass music so it is acoustic instruments through separate mics or DI with multiple band members clustering around a mic and singing together on the chorus, etc. Does anyone have experience with the Shure SM27 for that kind of situation? Any input that you can provide will really be appreciated. Thanks.
