Expected Nothing Less from a Seymour Duncan Pickup

The tone from the Full Shred is exactly what I was hoping for. While cleans sound warm and punchy, this pickup really shines when distorted. The Full Shred produces chords from a balanced mixture of the individual notes. Solo notes ring into harmonics and sustain longer. I can also pick slightly more subtly to achieve the same effect. I had considered the JB/JAZZ combination for my guitar but tend to play distorted more often so the Full Shred was a better choice for me. Mission accomplished Team Seymour Duncan. I installed this pickup in the neck position of a 7 string Ibanez Prestige RG 2027XVV. The stock V7 and V8 pickups were muddy which is disappointing since they are installed in the higher end Jem and Prestige models. Pickup installation was a snap. Physically the poles lined up perfectly with the strings. Wiring diagrams provided made the soldering easy. I was able to achieve split as well as full humbucker modes using the 5 way switch.
