Description

The CX5 Traditional Custom Series trumpet is one of the largest, free blowing Schilke C trumpets available. The extra-large straight bore and medium throat bell makes this trumpet extremely open, with a large sound and excellent projection, but with slightly more control than the CX4.

The CX5 trumpet is available in two variations—a fixed yellow brass bell, or a tunable yellow brass bell—each designed to customize the instrument performance to the player.

Features

  • Available versions: CX5, CX5L
  • CX5 – Yellow brass fixed bell. A large throat #3 bell with a taper graduated for even and full-bodied tone.
  • CX5L – Tunable yellow brass bell. The detachable bell design allows tuning from the bell, to offer a more open, free feeling in the upper register. With less bracing, the response feels quicker by allowing the bell to resonate more to improve projection.
