This Guitar will eat your children!!!!

I was walking down the street the other day when a Schecter Hellraiser decapitated an old lady crossing the street. After that it slaughtered a kid's soccer team with it's awesome screeching high notes. It then laughed maniacally and flew off into the sunset. I new then that I could not rest until I owned a Hellraiser of my own.

Really great, with one big flaw

I eventually had to return this guitar, which is a shame because it's one of the best I have ever owned. The EMGs were amazing, and the coil-splitting made them perfect. Neck was smooth and level and the finish was gorgeous. But the one fatal flaw was the locking nut: it was set up substantially too low and caused the worst fret buzz I have ever encountered, worse than $100 guitars. I raised the bridge to fight it but then the Floyd refused to stay in tune (something else I blame largely on the nut). After 30 days of adjusting and tinkering I admitted defeat and gave it back, which it tragic. I must have just gotten a bad one.

Got this guitar about six years ago and use it often. Replaced the EMG pickups and electronics with Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) Jazz (neck) with 500K push pull pots to my liking but kept the EMGs as they are great, im just an SD guy. plays good, stays in tune. easy to setup - i have minimal to no fret relief as i like my necks flat. no buzzing or dead frets and my action is a cats whisker from the frets. looks great and really like the goth crosses. no issues at all and it's a great guitar.

After leaving practice i had leaned my guitar against my car. While about to leave i got caught into a conversation and had forgotten my guitar was there. My guitar was only in a cheap soft case at the time. I had left and my guitar fell onto the driveway. 5 minutes later my buddy calls and said he ran over my guitar with both his front and rear passenger wheels. my heart dropped, i raced back to the house in record time. When i opened the case(he was too scared to look), i was completely shocked to see barely any damage. There was a slight chip on the middle of the body but that was it. literally no other damage. i had a guitar shop check it out and they said they would have never guessed it was ran over by a car.

This is a very well made guitar. Came perfectly setup out of the box. Cool tapping on the EMG's is nice, however there is a considerable volume difference when using the single coils vs. the normal setting. Jamming at home isn't a big deal but when playing live, you need an boost pedal to counter the reduction in gain/volume. Really nice tone tho! Fretboard was really dry out of the box but after some linseed oil it plays to its truest potential. Overall I give this a 9/10 for value and quality, not much on the market gives you a Floyd Rose with EMG's and a set neck for under a G bar.

This is a great guitar! I purposely bought this one for the Floyd rose to play around with the whammy and do dive bombs and stuff also I've been playing some Van Halen so I wanted a good Floyd rose. I notice when I play it and use the whammy bar it slightly goes out of tune but not that much, the string locks seem to do a good job holding it in tune. The neck feels great and it's a straight through neck which I find better. I'm a huge fan of emg pick ups so it sounds great there.
