This is the only brand that I use on my Yairi CY140.The wound treble strings produce a rich tone in the upper register of my guitar,as well as a respectable boost in volume. As mentioned in another review, this is an upgrade in sound.I recommend this particular set of strings to anyone who wants something more out of their classical guitar.I want to point out that the more normal tension or clear trebles in this brand are quite good.I have those on my Chet Atkins CE and they have lasted a long time w/ all the playing I do on that guitar.I think GC's prices are the best for me too,I have spent a little more on this brand from other sources through the net,or mail. They keep a fresh stock at the store I go to,which is nice to know.Try this brand and experiment w/ all the options, especially if you are starting to study the instrument, you may find more sound than you expect,I did.

I bought a new Ramirez classical guitar in july of 2010...the guitar was built in 2008.... It sounded good but not fantastic.....I thought I'd try putting on the best strings I could buy, after spending 2k on a guitar, and see if it would improve the tone.... Oh man what a difference!!! I'm sure this is what the people at Jose Ramirez wanted the guitar to sound like....rich, strong and super clean!!! You will not be disappointed!!!
