SKB Universal Electric Bass Soft Case

This SKB Universal Electric Bass Soft Case fits my Fender P Bass perfectly. It is like a hardshell case without the hard shell. The inside is molded and the P bass fits nicely. It does not move around. It is less expensive and lighter than a hard shell case, and unless something ends up going through the case, it is going to protect the bass just as well. I have a hard shell case for my guitar and I would seriously consider one of these (guitar specific) for it. There are a couple pockets that I have a cable, strap, strings, and a tuner in. Would definitely buy another if I ever needed one.

This case could not possibly fit my Fender Player Precision any more perfectly. Mmmmlike a glove! Excellent capacity for peripherals as well and being able to wear it as a backpack when you run outta hands is a huge plus. There's no denying that hard cases have more street cred cosmetically, but there comes a time when you just have to opt for function over form, in spite of my vain self.

Not bad, but doesnt really stand straight across when loaded with bass

I'm in high school and play bass for pep band. When the gig bag that came with my bass pooped out and ripped apart (3 years ago?) I bought this one. Shortly after buying it, when I had to transport my bass daily, the screws in the hinges came out and stripped the holes so we couldn't fix it. I just worked with it because the case was serving its purpose. I carry this using both backpack straps and the normal handle, but the seams at the bottom have ripped from the straps. Despite this, I plan on purchasing this case again, because it's the only soft case I can affordably find that isn't a hard shell or a gig bag.

I recently bought a bass without a case. I'm not a world-traveling musician and didn't want a hardshell case, but I did need something I'd feel confident throwing in my car and taking to go jam with friends. Most softshell cases out there are cheap and don't offer any kind of real protection. This case is the perfect mix of shape, size, weight, protection, etc. that will fit most people's needs well. I would recommend and buy again.

It's a great case with all the extra compartments. Seems very well made except for the zipper. I'm afraid it will break after a few months because it gets caught in the velour material the inside is lined with.
