These are the cheapest B20 pack you can get and it's worth it. The sound difference between these and the step down is insane. These sound good to the ears and don't pierce your ear drums in small spaces. Super happy with them. Will end up buying the whole series.
I had this pack before, no regrets

Great pack with great sound, you could spend more but why...
Great well-balanced pack at a great price.

This is a great pack at perhaps an even better price. They are B20 bronze and not that terrible B8/ZBT blend. Everything in here is designed to be middle of the road, nothing offensive sounding yet none of them will quite excel in anything either. The hats are perhaps a bit bright but have a great amount of cut, I've found they record quite well. Both crashes are the real shining stars in the pack as they are really good, similar to a Sabian AAX in look and sound, nobody would ever suspect you're playing a crash on the less expensive end. The ride is similar to the hats, perhaps a little bright and just very middle of the road, I would consider this to be a medium ride, fair amount of ping and cut but nothing to exactly write home about. Overall this is a great cymbal set, especially for the price.

Let me start off by saying I rarely write reviews. After recently trading my Zildjian Ks for a new DW set, I found myself using my old backup Sabian b8 cymbals, which are harsh and cheap sounding. I did some research online, and narrowed it down to three choices in my price range: meinl custom classics dark pack, zildjian S series pack, and the Sabian XSR pack. (The XSRs are the only ones out of those three that are made of B20). Based on online videos, I decided I was going to get the meinls. Went to my GC and tried them out. They sounded terrible... way too dark.. like bashing on a metal trash can. Tried the Zildjians, which sounded pretty good, but lacked the responsiveness I was looking for. Decided blindly to purchase the Sabians, solely because they were made of B20 bronze. Got them home and set up, and wow they sound great. Exactly the sound I was looking for. If you are shopping in this price range, I highly recommend this set, unless you are prone to breaking cymbals, as they are thin.
