great splash

i bought the 8 inch for an early christmas present for myself and i didnt really know what to expect at first. now i know that its a great cymbal to add on to any set. its not too loud and you cant really hear it over the other cymbals but its really good for accents and whatnot. ive had it for like a week now and theres no problems with it. i like it and recommend it to any drummer

Actually suprised!

I purchased the Sabian B8 series 12 inch splash cymbal around 4 months ago. I was running short of cash and really wanted a splash to add to my setup so I bought this one. To my suprise this little jewel has actually worked really well for the money I spent on it. For starters, I was afraid it would warp and crack because its very thin and I hit my cymbals rather hard at times. However, it has held up strong! Second, I actually love the way this splash sounds. I use it for different accents and such along with the crash and ride cymbals and it stands out quite well. Overall I say this is a great buy for the money!

I haven't played many splash cymbals but out of the ones I've used I have played an A custom, b8, and a ZBT. The a custom is the best(no doubt) but thats my point, you get what you pay for. the 10 inch is great but its just so thin. My friend matt broke his in about a week. (matt=metal head) if you want a splash that will take a hit, then get an a custom or an aax. But this is a good cymbal for the price. If you only have 50 bucks then get this but other wise save up.

I have played the 8" model and loved it. But I own the 10" and I have to say that it is horrible. It sounds very cheap, and it has no attack to it.

This was my first splash cymbal. I got this with a b8 cymbal set. I actualy still use my B8's i like the sound on all of their cymbals. The only one so far that i don't like is the splash. I give it 3 stars because it has a nice sound to it, pretty loud for a splash and it stands out. It only took about two months for this thing to crack from the center in. You get your moneys worth but i would recommend investing a little more money for a better splash.

I have had the sabian 10" for about 8 months, and there's nothing wrong with it. except for a dent at the edge, but that was my own doing, i had it on a bad stand and it fell on a concrete floor but these are good quality cymbals, and the price is good.

This is one cymbal that I really like. It has a little bit to high pitched, but that's because I just got it and it isn't broke in. But it is a really great deal. I own the 10"(my new one) and the6"(my old one) and they sound nice together. I like this cymbal and I think it is a great deal.
