ROCKAWAY STEVE STEVENS - ARCHER BOOST/EQ

Description
The settings include Up to 18dB of cut or boost at 6 different frequencies. Each frequency is increased by pushing its corresponding slider up on the pedal or decreased by pushing them down. This also adds or decreases volume. It is a great way to hit the front end of an amp harder than a stock Archer. The Rockaway Archer has an incredible variety of sounds due to the multitude of ways the EQ section can be used!

The pedal was ordered online and arrived when it was suppose to but it was either damaged or defective. It only worked in bypass mode (clean signal). It was tested with the proper power supply and cables. I took it back to my local GC and the guitar department folks tried to make it work with no luck. Maybe it's great. Maybe not. I will never know. I just returned it and bought something else.
This pedal is excessively noisy

I tried two different one of these pedals thinking the 1st was defective but both did the same thing. Maybe others can work with a ton of hiss but when I used this pedal to boost OR cut that resulted in significant noise like 30 dB of it. I tried to cut 60 Hz all the way to eliminate hum from my single coil lap steel and that was great it worked BUT the resulting noise was outrageous. Weird that you get noise from cutting? And if you use say 3-4 bands they add up to tons of noise then try using the Boost or gain and forget it I'd have to gate it to make it work so I sent them both back
Excellent Klon Clone with EQ Variation

A new favorite low gain Klon clone. I have many boutique overdrive pedals and several klone clones. This dials in a big range in the subtle just breaking up area I favor. The EQ and drive will put you into a full blown classic rock crunch. The 6 band EQ helps carve out a variety of tones. Highly recommended for classic rock and blues.

3rd in line of cascading Klon type overdrives on my board.
Awesome compression. Much more versatile than original w/EQ

I love the original Acher and this even better and more versatile than the original with the added EQ. I think of it as more of a dirty compressor than a lower gain overdrive. I play a lot of percussive sludge, stoner, and doomish stuff. It's not going to get you high gain overdrive on it's own but into a crunch amp or other overdrive is amazing or by itself it compesses really well with just a little bit of overdrive when you dig in. I prefer it into a clean amp by itself and stacked with a BB Preamp. I use a Gibson 61' Reissue with a Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat humbucker sized P90 in the neck >Exotic Effects EP Boost(Always On)>Exotic Effects RC Booster V2>J Rockett Rockaway Archer>Exotic Effects BB Preamp>Blackarts Toneworks Sarcophagus duel fuzz with some other Effects too. (phaser, delay, reverb etc.) Stacked with the BB Preamp, it sounds massive and heavy. A must have on anyones pedal board.
