This was given as a birthday present for a child turning four. Her eyes lit up when she saw the bright colors and animals. After beating a little rythm on it so she could see what they do, she tried, and tried, and tried and smiled the entire time. This was a party, and she went back to her Remo drums more than any other gift. If you are a musician you've seen Remo around. Their quality can be counted on. These bright bongos seem to be well made for the cost.

Got these bongos for our 11 month old grandson to start him out in music. No places for him to catch his fingers in. Bright, colorful graphics with a good percussion sound. He loves to slap his hands on the highchair tray, in the bath, on your leg, etc., so these bongos fit the need. Along with his cousin's Kitty Keyboard he has a good start to hear how his movements make sounds. What's next? Hmmmm...

This was a gift for my toddler. He isn't quite ready for his first gig yet, but this has been a good way to introduce simple rhythms and counting to him. We much prefer percussion without the sticks at this age, and the bongos accomplish this. Well constructed, kid friendly design, great sound.
