Comments about Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone Select All Solid Acoustic Guitar:

A buddy of mine brought this new Recording King series EZtone guitar to a jam last week. He said it is exclusive at Musicians Friend and Guitar Center. It played great. And for the price I had to order one myself. It sure is nice when Murphys Law does not apply. It arrived in great shape and is clean and well built. It is a no frills guitar, but the design works, especially with all solid spruce and mahogany woods. It's a triple 0 body and has a great responsive sound especially for recording.

I could not believe the price Guitar Center can sell an all solid instrument for. It won't replace my Taylor, but definitely is a an instrument for the serious musician.

Comments about Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone Select All Solid Acoustic Guitar:

I went to Guitar Center in Fairfax, VA to buy a guitar smaller that my other dreadnoughts. The young lady helping me suggested the Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone. I checked it out and found that is played extremely well for a small guitar. I understood why it played so well when I found out that it has all solid wood construction: solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides)!! This kind of quality and performance at this price is AWESOME! The size is perfect for traveling and jaming. If you want a great guitar for an excellent price, buy this one before the price goes up.

Comments about Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone Select All Solid Acoustic Guitar:

Wow! Seriously enjoying this guitar. Been searching the local guitar stores a couple months for an affordable solid wood guitar. This being a triple 000 12 fret makes this one even more amazing. I played around with mid level Martins and Taylor's costing five to six times as much as this guitar. I chose this guitar because it had the most mojo. It just felt right to my hands and ears. I was shocked and super excited when I seen the price tag. It's punchy, loud, and articulate. Chords ring out with excellent clarity. I can't put it down..seriously. Can't wait to break this guitar in and let it age. I can tell already that it will be one of my favorites for a long time.

Comments about Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone Select All Solid Acoustic Guitar:

Ok.. this guitar is a great guitar for the money. The guitar had 2 flaws . It had 1 fret that was not seated all the way down on fret board and caused buzzing. But i lightly taped it down and solved that problem. 2nd the thin coat of finnish they put on was a bit to thin on a couple of spots on the spruce top. So had a couple of dry spots. But no big deal.. a all solid wood guitar for this price is amazing. The action if nice and low. The nick is thin and comfortable.. it is constructed very well and it has great ballance in sound. . And great tone. Sounds great. And for a thin smaller body has plenty of volume. Even with the 2 flaws i give 5 stars..because its a great sounding player. It has the sound for pros to enjoy... this is a guitar that needs a sound hole humidifier. Its solid wood and can crack if it gets too dry.. anyway i love the guitar for its playabilty and sound. I would buy one before their no longer available. . At this price i would get one before its too late.

Comments about Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone Select All Solid Acoustic Guitar:

Wrote a review when I first got this guitar.I've had it a couple of months now. I own two Taylor layered wood guitars. Both sound great and are easy to play. But this has become my go to guitar. I put a set of Elixer light guage strings on it and they really bring the tone out. I'm an older guy and my hearing ain't what it used to be and this guitar has really got the volume. You get down on it and this guitar will really boogie! I think this is great value for an all wood guitar. So if you're like me and don't want to break the bank for a high end all wood guitar, I think this one will do the trick. Makes me happy. Hey, GC has easy payment plans too.

Comments about Recording King ROS-G9M EZ Tone Select All Solid Acoustic Guitar:

Was looking into buying a smaller body guitar and was all set to buy a parlor guitar and then played this and fell in love. For about the same price as a guitar with laminate back and sides this one is all solid wood construction. This is a great all around guitar, especially for fingerpicking. I was worried about it not being loud enough at a local acoustic jam I go to but it more than holds its own with dreadnoughts and jumbos, smaller size makes it a great guitar for jamming on the couch or sitting at my computer desk while looking on the internet for chords to songs. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is that the frets were sticking out of the neck and were kind of sharp, to be honest, if this was a Martin or Taylor I would have returned it or made GC repair it but for the price I figured I'd just fix them myself and taped up the fretboard and filed the edges down and then kept the guitar in a plastic garbage bag with a homemade guitar humidifier and that took care of the problem. If you're comfortable doing that kind of work then take it to a reputable repair shop for a setup and you'll have a fantastic guitar for the money.

I saw this Recording King advertised on the G.C. website. Read all of the 5 star reviews and had to try one myself. Ordered it and received it in just a few days and was very impressed. Real bargain for an all wood guitar at this price. Plays and sounds as good as many of the more expensive name brands. Strum a chord and it resonates throughout the guitar and into your body. Has amazing sustain. Smaller size makes it easier and fun to play.

I found this on sale during the Christmas holiday and decided to take a chance on it. For the price it wasn't much of a gamble. I received this in a Taylor box, which struck me as odd since it was suppose to be a new guitar. The fret edges were so sharp it was essentially unplayable. I came very close to returning it but fixed it instead. Lowered the action a bit also. The sustain on this thing is impressive. Love the feel of it and has its' own sound. It is the most inexpensive guitar I own but it is also the most played. I would encourage people to try a smaller bodied 12 fret. Its a fun instrument. Definitely worth having in your collection at this price.

I went to GC and played this and another parlour-sized guitar (the other was mahogany topped) for quite some time, trying to decide between the two. I also made a few comparison recordings and listened to them over and over at home. This Recording King has a very very sweet sustain to it, and the spruce top gives those highs a smart chime. The guitar is solid (both literally and poetically). The tone is absolutely wonderful for playing Mel Bay-style jazz, and flamenco sounds pretty good, too. The small body makes it easy to haul around the house. Don't be fooled by the low price -- sit down with it for just a bit and it will grow on you...
