Overview

Recording King has been known for over 85 years as a choice for players that truly understand great value and don’t have to run with the pack. A perfect example is the Century33 Limited Edition #1 guitar. In a nod to specific historical instruments of 1933, the Century33 #1 is unmistakable from the first glance. The pearloid fretboard and pickguard are showy while still keeping a sense of class, and the solid spruce top is supported by Recording King's Cross Lap Bracing for more projection and focused midrange. The Century33 #1 has the even frequency response across the tonal spectrum a 000 body is known for, all wrapped up in a look one can't find anywhere else.

Comments about Recording King Century33 Limited Edition #1 Acoustic Guitar:

Let me start by saying that I have a ton of guitar. Did I need another one? Probably not, but I couldn't resist this guitar and had to pick it up because it looks so dang cool! This guitar is exactly what it is, a reacreation (with some nice modern updates) of a 1930's guitar. Setup was good out of the box. I may end up doing a couple of tweaks to my personal liking, but I have to say it's playability out of the box was as good or better than more expensive guitar I've purchased.

The sound of this guitar is quite good! Very even and good bottom end. It's equally a joy to fingerpick and dig into with a flat pick.

Comments about Recording King Century33 Limited Edition #1 Acoustic Guitar:

When I opened the box, the pick guard had (what looked like) complete heat damage. The pick guard is literally a sticker that was poorly slapped on. I brought it back and exchanged it for another just to have that one peeling as well. I left it at home for a month (as I was couldn't take it back on the plane with me to school) when I got back home and picked it up to put the strap on, the knob fell off! This is the most poorly made guitar I've ever seen. It's unfortunate, as I could've just gone with a much cheaper one.

out the box i noticed so many issues the pick guard was a sticker the peeled off the fret board is also a sticker that you guessed it peeled off with play then the strap pin on the bottom was inserted wrong it was at a weird angle that looked like they just slapped it on the amount they want for this junker is a crime

Fingerpicking and blues machine. Delightfully even tone across the board. Doesn't have big volume but responds when hit hard.

Purchased this guitar 12/24/2017, pick guard trying to leave the guitar 12/28/2017. The pick guard is a sticker and it is peeling off the face of the instrument.
