The Tone Block 202 200W amp head combines a major update to the Quilter 200 power plant, plus everything they’ve learned about direct-out connectivity, to deliver the ultimate single channel amp head — a complete tool kit for stage and studio. Quilter's play-anywhere power supply, enhanced speaker drive options, new voicings, and the company's latest direct-out interface enhance studio recording and direct PA connections for both loud and silent stages. Brings any good speaker to life; even better when paired with the BlockDock 12 speaker.

Quilter went all-out to make the Tone Block 202 the ultimate gigging amp. Seven powerful controls, 3-way voicing switch, pre/post signal/headphone jack, Cab-Sim that automatically tracks output settings, a new FR voice option with tight solid-state damping for use with modelers, plus FullQ and Vintage voices with traditional Quilter warmth, all add up to unmatched tonal versatility. You'll quickly notice that notes feel bigger and hit harder!

  • My Gigging Amp!

I needed a lightweight, portable amplifier and this really fits the bill. It sounds good although I personally prefer the sound of my Fender Deluxe Benson HotRod or most tube amps I have played. Just too heavy for gigging in small venues. I think it will be fantastic for home studio recording once I get around to it!

  • Here's a wonderful amp!

I've been a "Tubie" for over 50 years! Oh, I've tried all the SS stuff, modeling amps, SS combos, etc. BUT, I've Never found one that emulated a tube as well as my new Tone Block. Warmth of tone is my biggie, and I get it with this. Has great break up when pushed that is rich & warm! The BIG plus is it weighs in at just 3 lbs! I went ahead and bought the "Dock" the cab and speaker system that only weighs 19.5 lbs. Together, we're talking about a total of 22.5 lbs! Oh, & the docking station comes with a cover, and the cover has a nice pocket on the bag for cords, etc. Another plus is: My Martin Acoustic\Electric sounds great thru this too! No need to take two amps to a gig when you want to play multiple kids of guitars, anymore! Get one, you'll like it too!

  • Great Tone, I'm Surprised!

I'm a blues player and big fan of tube amps. I usually disapprove of any thing else, but this amp is great! I'm very surprised! It sounds great and I find myself using it all the time.

Played tube amps for most of 55 years on guitar, Fender, Marshall, Peavey, Carvin, etc. Tried modelling amps for a while but didn't like the "feel" and "response" I was getting from them. Quilter has come up with an analog engineering miracle used in all of their amps. Tube tone, distortion, feedback, power, and sustain that is just what you're looking for. Get one and you won't regret it!
