Pro-Line 2nd Tier Add-on is junk

This add-on worked well for a while. Then started falling apart. First the thumb screw on the round cross-brace stripped out. I re-drilled it and threaded it so that was fixed, but the metal used is soft, so I don't expect that to last long. Then, the same piece came undone from first the left side then the right side (no way to fix this). For pros it would be nice to have a lifetime warranty so parts could be replaced without having to buy a new one every year. This is probably an OK 2nd tier for amateurs or for very light use where you are not setting up and taking down 5 times a week. I would not buy another one.

I've just gotten this stand and used it on stage once, but it did the job well and packed up easily. I'm looking forward to this weekend when I'll use it again.

  • Perfect for my needs

I bought this to use on one of my X frame stands, so I can put both my keyboards on the same stand, it fit both my Proline and my Musicians Gear stands. It seems well made and holds up my Roland Vk-8 on top of my Yamaha Piano. My only complaint is it isn't height adjustable; I may drill my own holes about a 1 1/2 or so lower so my upper keyboard can sit flatter. This is a fine setup for my music room to save space. However, if I were gigging I would get a stand made for 2 keyboards.

Needed a 2-tier keyboard stand and this fit my single Pro Line double-braced X-stand perfectly. At first I thought the inserts were the wrong size (too small) but once I tightened the knobs they secured nicely. The 2nd tier is not too hight and the angle is fully adjustable.

Good for the home studio. Feels sturdy with my 20lb synth on it. Note that this DOES work great with the Musicians Gear KBX2 double brace stand. It does NOT fit the Proline PL2KD single braced stand.

What is the max width this can accommodate? My Pro-Line double X stand (not sure if it's a PL4KD; it is older... hope this would work?) is at its widest & lowest setting. Will this work with an On-Stage KS7390 quickSQUEEZE stand? How long are the arms?

I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available. Presently I don't have one to check.

It may be able to be done, but you would run the risk of making the stand top heavy and unstable. Give us a call at 866-498-7882 and we can help you find the right stand and get you set up.
