Get this Sub WITH the S8s

By Scott

from Burbank, CA

Comments about Presonus Temblor T10 10 in. Active Studio Subwoofer:

You have to get this sub with the S8s. This adds a very defined and clear bottom end without distorting or giving you a false coloring of your sub. The awesome thing about this sub is that it has a kick pedal so that you can work on your highs and mids without the sub getting in the way and then kicking it on when you want.

Best Uses

Comments about Presonus Temblor T10 10 in. Active Studio Subwoofer:

I've had this sub (and the E8s) for 6 months now and all my latest mixes are noticeably much better. I had a consumer sub for the last few years and I went back to reference some past mixes with this sub and it's night and day. This sub (and matching E8s) are top quality and are worth much, much more than the current MSRP price. Grab them before PreSonus figures that out!!!!!

Luv it! Clean bottom. Not boomy like another I tried first. Even tho it's 10" and my Event 20/20's are 8", they still blend well together.

Made a big difference in my mixes!

Comments about Presonus Temblor T10 10 in. Active Studio Subwoofer:

Made an instant improvement to my home studio. I have an older pair of tannoy active monitors that sound great, but drop of at around 80, so I was over compensating the low-end in my mixes to have it sound right on the monitors. Added this sub, set the crossover accordingly and BAM, and after a short while, my mixes sound so much better outside the studio because I'm not pumping the low-end too much. Highly recommend.

Comments about Presonus Temblor T10 10 in. Active Studio Subwoofer:

I bought this to bass enhance a pair of Yamaha MSP5 speakers for mixing and mastering. It turned out after using a 1/3 octave RTA I only needed a very slight amount of bass boost which the T10 handles quite well. I now get more punch to kick drums and I'm hearing more in the 20-50 Hz range with electronic and hip-hop mixes etc. I'm not trying to rumble and rattle the walls but just filling in the bottom that is missing with the MSP5's. I previously had some modulation type noise on the MSP5's as fed from my DAW I/O box via a Presonus headphone amp (on the monitor through output) but with the T10 in line between the MSP5's the noise went away. I can only conclude that the input circuit on the T10 is better at CMR than the MSP5's are. All in all I'm very happy and the footswitch bypass is a nice and useful feature. This speaker can pump way more bass than I need so I have no issue with it being under powered as some have commented.

Comments about Presonus Temblor T10 10 in. Active Studio Subwoofer:

Amazing sub for my home studio. This thing can make some bass. Truly turns your mix alive. I have paired this with my Yamaha HS5 monitors, and I have no complaints crossing over from different manufacturers. The price is a slight lower than the Yamaha Sub, but there are no complaints, and having the foot-switch is a game changer. Totally recommend this in any studio setting.

Comments about Presonus Temblor T10 10 in. Active Studio Subwoofer:

I have had this product for about a week now. I sole use this product for playing audio at my desk at work. My profession has nothing to do with music, but I appreciate great sound quality and regular computer speakers don't make the cut. I currently have the M-Audio BX5's paired with this sub and it sound phenomenal. I just ordered the Presonus Eris E44s though because I wanted to match brands and am hoping for similar if not better results. This sub-woofer set at approximately 80hz LPF is a great match for about any satellites. The only thing I have noticed is that the output gets a little "loose" at higher output levels. This partially due to not having a subsonic filter and the unit being a ported enclosure. Although the ported design definitely produces much more efficient output at lower power levels and an overall greater output than a sealed, a sealed enclosure is significantly more accurate. I don't do mastering or anything of that nature, but I am a musician and understand what good sound reproduction sounds like. It is my opinion that if someone was mixing or mastering a song post recording, they would want to do so on a sealed sub-woofer. Just my opinion though. Overall a very powerful, loud, and clear sub-woofer.
