This is not a typical bell sound. More like a "gong bell" (ish) sound. Loud. Heavy. If you strike the side of the bell (as you would a ride bell) it gives off a loud, pingy sound, very nice! You can also "ride" this bell, on the small edge, and get a massive, loud, sharp, pingy ride sound that cuts! If you mount it upside down, as most do, it gives off a "gongy bell" sound that carries a good deal. This cuts, works nice for metal. However, this is not a super loud (zilbell) type bell sound.
