The 50W Orange Amplifiers Rockerverb 50 RK50HTC tube guitar amp head gives you an all-valve, channel-switching amp head enhanced with a valve FX loop and valve driven reverb.
The Orange RK50HTC tube amp is armed with a 2-stage clean channel and a 4-stage dirty sound. The Rockerverb 50 amp's clean channel is one of the smoothest and cleanest ever produced that serves up a unique power valve overdrive when pushed to the max. The Rockerverb 50 amp's Bass and Treble controls interact with each other, offering a wide range of superb tones from a channel with only 3 controls.
The Rockerverb 50's Dirty channel is liquid fire. This 4-stage gain machine can produce anything from an articulate clean chime through all the classic rhythm and crunch sounds with original Orange character”all the way up until you reach a gain level that is quite simply outrageous. The quartet of 6V6 output tubes and an exclusive F8 output transformer design gives the Rockerverb 50 tube amp its uncompromising tone.
Although more expensive to produce, the resulting sound is so special, that the Orange Rockerverb 50 RK50HTC amp exceeds the specifications of many high-end valve amps.

I am a proud owner of an egnater rebel 30 stack. And it does an amazing job of covering just about every genre out there. I never thought anything could top it, untill I played the rockerverb! It's clean channel is really good, but nothing that could justify it's price tag. What really won me over was it's dirty channel. Way better than any Marshall, and it pains me to say that it's better than my egnaters. Now there's a beauty in it's simplicity, and you can get tons of tonal options, but u can get more out of the big huge 4 channel Marshalls. But there's nothing I need in one of those that the rockerverb doesn't completely satisfy. And it sounds better. Don't know if it's better than a Mesa tho, because a Mesa is more versatile. But if ur looking for a great amp with the best sounding dirty channel out there, then I highly recommend this amp
Ive been playing for 15 years. This amp is the one Ive been looking for my whole life. Amazing dirty channel. Handles any kind of rock music. Massive gain. I love the quartet of 6V6's! I think the 50 watts are ideal for most guitarists, because honestly, 100 watts are too many. A wonderful amp overall.
Pick up one of these original Rockerverbs while you still can, the MKII have an added mid knob for the clean, which doesn't do much, and the interactive bass and treble on the original is just fine. You will however need to get some sort of buffer/booster (i'd recommend the MXR micro amp or BBE boosta grande) if you plan on using the hi impedence FX loop that came on the original. Those features are only two of the three main features they changed on this amp. The third and most important is the tubes...the original came with the 6V6's. The MKII come stock with EL34's with a bias selector to drop in 6L6's or KT88 if you so choose. Although this gives you a wider tonal spectrum, the 6V6's are still where it's at. The only negative to BOTH the mark 1 and 2 is the clean channel's lack of a master volume. you can still get a great tone out of it, and it's still very practical without it, but it would be nice to get more volume out of the clean before it started to break up. On the other side of that though, the break up on the clean channel is another tone all it's own, very classic sounding.
