Purchased this mixer to integrate phone calls into my dj live stream. The line level inputs and Bluetooth work excellent. The sound quality of this mixer is great also. I recommend this mixer over the competition because of the sale price.
Pleasantly Surprised.

Honestly, I was holding out for the competitors model, but bought the TASCAM Miscast 4 on a sale instead. All I can say is, wow! The Mixcast 4 has exceeded my expecations and I am more than pleased with it. I'm sure the competitors model is really good, but this is great!
Terrible with SO MANY ISSUES!!

I purchased three different ones from three different companies and each one was defective. First, with the volume all the way turned down you can still hear the audio from the sound pads. Also, there is a terrible humming sound that you can hear in the headphones even if no mic is plugged in. The hum is constant and VERY VERY distracting, especially if you're trying to talk to guests. There are solo buttons for each Mic input and when you solo the first mic there is an audible hiss. If you solo all the mics the hiss gets louder. Why do they even allow you to set ALL the mics to solo? Makes no sense! When you change anything on the screen you can literally hear an electrical humming as it changes from screen to screen. I thought the first one I bought was defective and returned it, then I purchased from somewhere else and the same issues were in the second one. I then thought I would buy local since Guitar Center had it in stock hoping it might be different, but I immediately returned it the next day. I absolutely would NOT recommend this unit at all!!
Fantastic Workflow

I have the Rodecaster Pro and definitely prefer this. The free Tascam Podcast Editor software needs some small features added but is fantastic for beginners. Product sounds great with all the processing you need onboard. The I/O is superior to the Rodecaster Pro. With firmware updates/software features added to the software editor, Tascam will knock it out of the park for easy, comprehensive workflow. I will be purchasing this for a media lab/studio for ease of use/workflow with students. The Rodecaster Pro is great, don't get me wrong. This is just a much better/easier workflow for the whole process of podcasting and editing. At the end of the day, that is very important to me. You won't miss a thing on the Rodecaster. The features on the hardware are fantastic too and are clearer and easier to use while recording. Great product and great job Tascam. I highly recommend.
Great tool for both Podcasting, Live Streaming and Audio Pro
