I bought this amp to be used in a simple setting (a small church performance area with good acoustics), and also because it can operate on just AA batteries, if needed. For a small, light weight, lower cost amp, it has nice size dual speakers, and it allows you enough choices to enhance the natural tone of the guitar to your liking. When using the AA battery power, you don't have to worry about where to plug it in. It seems to work well, so far. I use a Takamine baby jumbo 6 string with an inserted soundhole pick-up, a vintage Ovation acoustic/electric 12 string, and a Raimondo acoustic/electric classical guitar. They all sound natural, with clear tone quality. Of course, at 30 watts the loudness level only goes so far, but it does it with good quality. The reverb dial can be used to help enhance and carry the sound, as well. Now, if they made the slightly larger version 60 watt amp with battery power, that would be something. However, I'm pretty content with this one for it's select use. Finally, the rather dark rosewood finish is nice, but not much different from the black finish, as far as I can see.

The feed back switch doesn't do anything at all when I play with my classic acoustic electric guitar. It was ok with my regular acoustic, however, the sound was excellent with my electric guitar. If you really want an acoustic amp I recommend the Fishman with 60 watts. I have this amp and it's a very acoustic sound. However, it does not have a switch feed back.

I've been most pleased with the sound I get using this amp with my Taylor 414 guitar with Taylor's expression system preamp. In fact, I haven't gotten a better sound from other amp I have tried with this guitar! The other features that attracted me to this amp are its light weight (< 12 lbs) and battery power option. The easy to use built-in looper is also a nice feature which makes this a great practice amp, or performance amp in a small venue, or as a monitor amp when used with larger sound system.
