Description

The Blue Note gives you a very woodsy blues feel and can achieve more gain than a typical tube screamer (no this isn't another TS clone just using this as a reference). With the newly added "Hot" switch the pedal is capable of multiple tones. The "Hot" switch adds more gain, more volume and gooses the low mids for a thick juicy feel. The Blue note can be set to run flat in its EQ section or select the "Hot" position for more prominent mids. Since the Blue note can be run in either position it makes it suitable for many applications. This pedal is all about feel and really works well with any guitar/amp combination. This is a favorite.

This pedal has changed the way I set my amp up. I am able to adjust the amp to clean, then dial in the amount of "break up" with the pedal itself. It's very responsive, and has a very organic sound (exactly like the ads say "woody"). It works great with both single coil, as well as Humbuckers. I am not one that uses many pedals, but I will always have this one with me. You really just need to try one, you will then understand why the players that use them love them. The only con I can think of is, they not great for the over the top shred sound like an OCD, but it's not meant to.

Add this to your pedal board. The "fat" switch makes your tone full, fat, and round. No joke. Nice OD with low to medium gain that cleans up when needed.

  • Finally found an overdrive I can enjoy

After decades of searching I've finally found an overdrive that does what I want, which is to simply give a nice lively and transparent boost to the sound of my guitar and amp with a nice creamy touch of "blue velvet." Bought it before I tried it based on the available Youtube reviews and when I finally had it in my hands and played through it I fell in love.
