ROC-N-SOC

Description

This revolutionary drum throne provides unparalleled comfort and support for drummers during extended practice sessions and performances. Featuring ROC-N-SOC's patented saddle-style seat, the Original Saddle drum throne contours to your body, relieving pressure points and allowing for maximum mobility.

Patented Saddle Seat Relieves Fatigue

The ROC-N-SOC Original Saddle drum throne's ergonomically designed saddle seat cradles your body, distributing weight evenly and eliminating painful pressure points that can develop during long durations of playing. This innovative seat shape allows for a full range of motion, enabling drummers to play freely without strain or discomfort. The result is reduced fatigue, allowing you to drum longer and with greater endurance.

Premium Components for Durability and Stability

Constructed from quality components, the ROC-N-SOC Original Saddle drum throne is built to last through years of consistent use. The heavy-duty tripod base and steel support post provide a stable platform, allowing for precise foot control and preventing unwanted throne movement. The high-density foam seat maintains its shape over time, and the durable vinyl cover resists tearing while keeping you comfortably in place.

Fully Adjustable for Perfect Height

With an adjustable seat height range of 18" to 24", the ROC-N-SOC Original Saddle Drum Throne can accommodate drummers of nearly any height. The spindle mechanism allows for quick and precise seat height adjustments in 1" increments. Simply loosen the spindle, raise or lower the seat to your desired height and tighten to lock the throne in place. The wide range of adjustment ensures you can achieve a comfortable, ergonomic seating position for optimized playing.

Super Sweet Seat!

I deliberated quite a bit over my throne purchase and I sure am glad I sprung for this Roc N Soc Original Saddle Trone. It's solid, comfortable, and reasonably priced for the excellent quality you get. The seat is just soft enough to be comfy, but firm enough for support. The seat shape minimizes leg restriction, and there's definitely something inherently comfortable about that tractor seat shape - heck, they used to make them out of solid metal and farmers still sat on them all day. In fact its so comfy, it feels less like sitting on a stool and more like sitting on someone else's butt. Funny image but its true. The hardware is good, easy adjustment and a sturdy lock nut. I am 5'6" and I have it adjusted in the bottom half of the height range, I am sure it would be good for someone moderately shorter or significantly taller than me. This seat has threaded holes in the bottom so you can add the backrest later if you want (I was planning to, but the seat is comfy enough without it, so I didn't). The velvety top material has good traction and sweat dissipation. When shopping for this one, I also liked the Pork Pies, but I found them to be a little too cushy and, although many of their designs are fun, they're a little cheezy for my taste. This RocNSoc has a simple classic look. All in all this is a sweet seat.

Roc-N-Soc Throne

This throne's saddle design and soft padding makes it extremely comfortable and simply puts my legs in a "playing" mood. The manual design is not too good though. The throne never stays in one position and it will have a tendency to loosen and start turning up or down when you get off and on it. I find myself having to adjust again and again all the time. The rubber feet on the throne also lack durability. 2 of the feet have ripped and broken off my throne after owning it for about 9 months. To sum it up, it has a nice feel for your butt, but the other parts of it could be improved. I advise you check out the air lift design of this. Do I regret buying this throne? No, but I would buy something similar to this that fixes the above problems.

I've owned and used a Roc N Soc w/manual spindle for the past 14 plus years, and it is by far a superior seat than anything else I have ever sat on when playing drums. Long studio sessions are smoother with no ache or fatigue on the body. Seat cushion in comfy and didn't lose any of its quality even after being used for hundreds of gigs and many sessions. Highly recommend!

In response to the review saying the throne does not lock in place and the rubber feet are not durable, I have had this for at least 15 years and have NOT had the same experience. I am a big guy, at a point I was 315 LB. This throne rock solid, it will not move even when not using the locks. This is a screw mechanism, the seat has to fully rotate to go up and down, unclear how this could accidentally move. There is a collar that then screws down over this, no way it moves at this point, then there is a wing nut to lock the collar! Rubber feet still look brand new, only throne I have where the feet have not pushed through. No fatigue, no back pain ever, even when I had a back injury. I have been playing for 50 years now, one of best pieces of drum equipment you can purchase, one and done. I would rate this equal to the original Camco / DW / Tama 5000 pedal design. I just bought another one.

I love this throne except as a petite individual it is too big. From the top of the seat to the floor is 20" so if you are petite and need a smaller throne, this is not it. Otherwise it is great. The description on the website is incorrect and Roc n Soc recommends the Lunar series for petite individuals.

Cocktail piano can be 3-4 hours without a break and this seat makes the gig go by quickly, no more shifting side to side and watching the clock, this is just what i needed !

  • Sturdy. Safe. Supportive.

Solid as a rock. Always wanted a Roc n Soc, finally bought one as a "fat man's courtesy" to myself. Easy to adjust. Quiet, too.

Will the Roc-N-Soc Manual Spindle Drum Throne - Original Saddle Red swivel/spin while I'm sitting on it? If so, is there a way to lock it in place so that it does not swivel? I want a throne that is stable and does not swivel or move at all while I'm sitting on it. Thank you Mark
