The Sonzera 50 is a 50-watt amplifier with two independently controlled, footswitchable channels designed for maximum versatility and in the spirit of vintage amps that allowed you to control your tone instead of the amp being in control.
The clean channel delivers full, 3D tones reminiscent of American 1960s and '70s amplifiers. The lead channel is related to the clean channel circuit-wise, so the it can be set up to act as a boosted clean channel or manipulated to make the channels sound like two completely different amps (the lead channel can be set from slight to very heavy distortion by simply using the volume and master controls). The bright switch on the lead channel has been carefully tailored to deliver familiar high-end snap and is particularly effective on the low strings, neck pickup settings, and with single-coils, while the low-end response of the lead channel is full, tight, and clear.
Both channels on the Sonzera are designed to maximize note clarity and definition, with bright switches per channel, a global presence control, and the tone stack allowing players to dial in bell-like chime or warmer, thicker tones. The Sonzera 50 features independent reverb controls per channel and can be turned on and off via the footswitch. The reverb circuit is designed to enhance notes without clouding them. The addition of a built-in effects loop allows players to use all their time-based effects with ease without negatively impacting the overall tone of the amp.
In addition to its versatile tone, the Sonzera 50 is also designed for reliability and serviceability. The power tube sockets are mounted directly to the steel chassis, and no push-on connections are used—all wires are soldered.
The Sonzera 50 comes as both a head and a 1x12 combo. With robust construction, a wide range of tones, and steadfast controllability, the Sonzera 50 is a solid gig- and studio-worthy amplifier.

Comments about PRS Sonzera 50 50W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:
When it is fresh out of the box, the speaker sounds a little muffled, but have no fear, that's normal and it opens up beautifully as you continue to play through it. After about a week of use, this one is sounding plain great. It can do those punchy and glassy Strat tones ala SRV - EXTREMELY WELL. Yes. The clean channel sounds incredible cranked with the tubes working hot. Keep in mind that it has a solid state rectifier so there isn't any natural 'sag', but only people used to having that would notice and a compression pedal can get you there too. The gain channel is a little on the 'fuzzy' side, but after some work, I have it dialed in as a second gain stage in conjunction with a Wampler overdrive pedal. This works because you can EQ the drive channel to sound like the clean channel, but more overdrive breakup on it. A nice feature, in that the drive channel can also sound like a completely different amp: think vintage British 'plexi' crunch. I could see it working really well with a Les Paul playing classic rock too, but I can't speak to that since I don't own one to test with. I only rate this amp a 4 instead of a 5 because the drive channel is it's weakest link. Better than many, but still not fantastic. But most amps on the market in this price range either don't have enough clean headroom for country (which this one has PLENTY of) or have a drive channel that sucks so bad you wouldn't want to use it anyway. All-told, this amp has 2 completely usable channels for classic rock, and if you are putting pedals in front of the clean channel, you can probably do just about anything else with it too. Oh one other thing, it is just a hair on the noisy side, but nothing over the top. I'm very happy with this amp and the features for the money. It is hard to get this quality of a clean tone with this much headroom in anything under a grand. If you play strats/teles and do a mix of blues, country, and classic rock, I don't think you could be disappointed with this amp.
