Superb tone only a tube amp can produce

There is no real way to overstate the superb varieties of tone one can achieve with the simple controls. You will wind up selling your pedals (I sure did). Low end control even at gig volume is the mark of quality that can not be faked. British or American desires, it can do it all.

I was a Marshall man for 30 years - then one day I played an Orange Dual Terror and it was all over. Orange amps have a tone and character all their own. If you don't care about an effects loop or on-board reverb (this amp has neither) give this amp a try.

Okay so i just picked up this awesome little amp the other day and i gotta say i love it! Now some people say this amp can do metal and hardcore music and some say it cant. Well my opinion was stuck RIGHT in the middle. I love the crunch and sound of the distortion. I felt like it was border-line metal though. I could play metal stuff on it and everything sounded awesome, but the chugging just wasnt good enough. EASY FIX! I bought the mxr boost/overdrive pedal and it solved EVERYTHING! It gives you that extra little kick that this amp needs to go to insane mode! I LOVE this amp now, i have it on top of a mesa boogie 412 with v30's and it gets LOUD! I can't wait to do my first gig with it! I wish it had a 4ohm output but 8 and 16 are provided. Its plenty powerful through 8ohms. I love the fact that it has dual channels too. For me i think the FAT channel is more suited for cleans and the TINY channel for dirty stuff. The only difference i could hear is the fat channel is more...well fat i guess. Little more bass maybe. Anyways i give this amp 5 stars and for all you >METAL< fans you might want to buy just a boost or an overdrive pedal (or the boost/overdrive) and get shreddin. One hell of an amp right here!
Ridiculous Tone

This amp is pure tone perfection! I am in a band and both me and the other guitarist HAD to have this amp. Yes, you can push it at 30 watts, but I've played this baby at 7 watts (elevated on a chair), and it is loud. True, there is a lot more head room at 30 watts, but it still sounds great and fills a mid-sized bar at half volume - NON MIC'd! Both channels have great tone. I used to use a Vox Wah, Keeley Modded Boss DS-1, TS9, MXR Phase 90, Boss DD-6, and a Boss TU-2 tuner through a Fender Blues Deluxe. I needed to be able to get good distortion, blues rhythm, and a boost for leads. Now, I just plug straight into the Dual Terror! Now, all I need is the channel selector and the volume knob on my Les Paul, Tele, Strat, or Sheraton. It is wonderful! Great blues through the single coils and pure rock with the humbuckers. Do yourself a favor, get rid of those distortion, boost, OD, and fuzz pedals and just get a Dual Terror. You won't be disappointed.

I have been playing guitar for about 15 years now and have owned a lot of killer amps and this is by a mile the best one for me. If you are worried that it wont be loud enough for gigs and practice then don't be ITS LOUD ENOUGH. It looks awesome, it sounds awesome, it is super light and easy to get around, it comes with a case that is a lot nicer then i thought it would be good enough that you wont have to go buy one if you gig with it. You may want to get a eq pedal if you don't like a lot of punch
