JBL EON ONE Compact: Pro Audio For All of Life's Stages

Description
The JBL EON ONE Compact is a revolutionary all-in-one PA system that delivers studio-quality sound in a package designed for maximum portability. Despite weighing just 17.6 lb., the EON ONE Compact packs a 4-channel mixer, Bluetooth connectivity and a 12-hour rechargeable battery into its compact frame. JBL is thrilled to introduce this innovative solution for singers, emcees, presenters and anyone looking to amplify their voice with professional results.
4-Channel Mixer With Bluetooth Connectivity
The built-in 4-channel mixer gives you control over vocals, instruments and audio playback with independent volume control for each channel. Connect microphones, guitars, keyboards and more for a customized mix. Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream audio from your mobile device and even use the free JBL Compact Control app to adjust settings and effects in real time.
Premium Effects and Processing
Lexicon and dbx-inspired effects bring a professional studio sound to any performance. Choose from presets like "Warm Vocals" or "Percussive Bass" and customize the EQ, reverb and compression to suit your needs. The ducking feature automatically lowers background music volume when speech input is detected, ideal for presentations, fitness instruction and events.
12-Hour Rechargeable Battery
The EON ONE Compact runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to 12 hours of continuous use per charge. For non-stop performance, you can swap in a spare battery and recharge the depleted one for unlimited runtime. The battery also makes the system completely cable-free for the ultimate in portability.
Ultralightweight and Compact
Weighing just 17.6 lb., the EON ONE Compact is the lightest, most portable all-in-one PA JBL has ever designed. Its compact frame fits easily into the included carrying case for transport and storage. For singers and presenters on the go, this revolutionary system delivers studio-quality sound without sacrificing portability.

Like not love - won't buy more due to bluetooth
Bought 2 speakers in July 2022. But I won't be buying more. There are some pro and cons (as you might expect with any speaker). 1. Battery life is great. Charge and go with no issues. 2. Multiple inputs with the onboard mixing. 3. USB power source for 12v (like my wireless mic). Required accessory purchase. 4. Happy with sound quality and tone for 150w 8" speakers. Here is what I wish I knew before I purchased: 1. The bluetooth distribution is hub and spoke. This means there is one source speaker and then you have your receiver speakers. So you can't really spread these around a patio daisy chain style they need to be with in range of the source. 2. The bluetooth linking only links the bluetooth source. It's DOES NOT bluetooth distribute the mix to remote speakers. This means if I have a mic, keyboard and track none of it will be rebroad cast to the remote speakers using the BT sync. Only the BT is synced with remote speakers. I suspect this is due to the older version of BT tech the speakers use and latency and sync issue which would be noticeable in a live environment. 3. I understand the need for infinity knobs with an app that can control volume. But the knob light is very hard to see in daylight and the adjustment light has a long light band. This means syncing speaker to the same volume without using the app is hard because there is no precision control on the main or channel volume. My solution is I just turn the main and channels up 100% since I almost always use an external mixer. 4. The BT connection audio indicator is more than annoying. Here is the scenerio: Connect your phone BT to the speaker BT so you can control the speaker. Get everything working... the performer is playing ... then you walk out of range.. then return ... the phone and speaker reconnect. This is confirmed by a BT connection audio tone through the speakers (while the performer is playing). In conclusion I like the speakers. I'm keeping them. The USB charging external device is the tipping feature for me over their competitor - otherwise I would have returned. But I've disconnect the BT from all my devices and use a 3rd party 2.4g wireless transmitter/receiver from main out (so I get all channels) to the remote speaker. Or cable the speakers together.

Failure to Launch - Android Failure
Speaker does not work with Android, returning it to Sweetwater. Such a disappointment. You need to take Android off if your specs for compatibility or at least say works only with old or certain versions of Android.

I'm a singer song writer and i use this speaker to do small live gigs in my apartment and around town. It's compact, easy to use, and sounds great! Also, amazing that it can be used with battery power for up to 12 hours of performance! I can't recommend it enough. It also has some nice reverb so it cuts out the need for a mixer, making it even more efficient and easy. #sweepstakes

sounded good at home when setting it up. Got to my first wedding with it and it sounded like a tin can. Very confusing with the mixer aspect as well.

As a wedding DJ I needed a small speaker with bluetooth, mic input, and battery power for outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. This speaker fits the bill. Sleek look, lightweight, with full mixer built in. The battery last 12 hours, and the JBL app gives me total control from my iPad.

It's too bad that replies can't be made to some of the reviews because a few of the contentions made are incorrect. Concerning the problem with the on-off button not working, that is probably due to the poster not realizing that it's being a digital rather than a mechanical switch; it must be pressed and held for several seconds for it to operate. Also, a reviewer's claim that the effects cannot be separately applied to channels is pimply incorrect Affects can be applied separately to all channels through the free app. You just have to know how the app works, but once you do, it is easy to apply and adjust the effects.
Thank you for your comment. This is an issue that we get every once in a while, so this is very helpful to customers having this same problem.submitted5 years ago

Does the JBL EON have chorus and delay, one on line store says it does yet i don't see any controls for that, and your website doesn't say anything about it
Yes it does, sound your best with dbx and Lexicon effects including EQ, reverb, chorus and delay
