Open Box Friedman TWIN SISTER HEAD 2 Channel - 40 Watt Head - 5881 Tubes - Series FX Loop - Tube Rectified Level 1 Black

Description
Friedman’s popular Dirty Shirley Head was designed for guitarists that wanted a Vintage Classic Rock tone inspired by British tube amps from the '60’s and '70s. And what’s better than one Dirty Shirley? Two Dirty Shirleys, aka the Twin Sister. The Twin Sister is a 40-watt, 5881 powered, dual channel head based on a modified JTM 45 but still delivers the signature British tone for which Friedman has become known for.
The amp features two identical channels that can give you everything from gorgeous sparkling cleans to a glorious vintage crunch and beyond. Extremely versatile, the Twin Sister can produce many styles of music from blues to rock and country by just adjusting the structure, gain and master controls. The Twin Sister features all the beautiful finishing and solid construction that you would expect from a Friedman amplifier. Designed to take pedals and loves boosts, ODs phasers, flangers, tremolos and wahs, while the ultratransparent series effects loop handles your time-based effects pedals and rack units.

This the tone I've been searching for, for 45 years

I've had them all.... and this is the one that allows me to get that BALLSEY warm tone at a relative low volume (stage volume at most venues). I have the Smallbox also.... but the tiebreaker here is that each channel has it's own EQ. Buy it. Then you may just sell everything else. It's that good.

I'm no stranger to boutique amps having personally owned Friedman BE100, 3rd Power Kitchen Sink, Bigtone Studio Plex Mk II, Mezzabarba MZero Overdrive, Suhr PT100, Landry LS100, /13 RSA 23, Kingsley, Bruno, Komet, Bogner, Aiken, Reinhardt, Two Rock, Marshall, Fender, Kemper. All great amps. This Friedman Twin Sister may very well be the cream of the crop. It just feels perfect and yields the best cleans I've heard on any Friedman....As much as the Dirty Shirley was so highly rated, this twin sister really ups the ante by giving you to flexibility to set up a clean vs. dirty channel, or a dirty rhythm vs. dirty lead channel...and my guitars all react really well to the amp in terms of guitar volume rollback. The only thing that would make it perfect for me would be on board reverb and tube biasing ports...but, it's such a perfect amp that I don't mind...i'm sure is'ts the simplicity of the amp that in part makes it such a killer amp. Dave really nailed it with this amp and I've never been so happy with an amp. For sure a keeper.
