Overview

An acclaimed superstar of modern country music, Brad Paisley has defined a guitar-centric sound infused with the voice and vibe of the Telecaster. Fender teamed up with this award-winning guitarist to create his signature model, the limited-edition Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster. An eye-catching instrument with plenty of country mojo, this stage-tested Telecaster is ideal for adding some Nashville flair to your arsenal.

The Brad Paisley Telecaster is crafted from a paulownia core capped by a spruce top, providing a solid, lightweight foundation with acoustic-like resonance. The Paisley-approved pickup configuration includes a custom-wound ’64 Tele bridge pickup and a Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup for classic tone with just the right balance of warmth and twang. Playability is key to Paisley’s fleet-fingered style and the “Enhanced V” neck profile is designed for comfort, filling the hand at the nut for easy chording while flattening out in the upper registers for soloing. The modern 9.5 in. radius fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets make it easy to play fast and bend big.

This Tele wears a silver sparkle Road Worn lacquer finish and aged hardware, inspired by many years on the touring trail. Elegant signature touches include a custom clear pickguard with black and silver paisleys and a cowboy hat insignia on the headstock. Simply put, this easy-playing music machine is a must for Tele lovers and belongs center-stage in any country collection. Includes gig bag.

Comments about Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for a few days now and am really loving this thing! I own a vintage '52 reissue Tele and I can tell you that this one plays just about as nice as the 52. I find that the twisted tele neck pickup and the custom wound '64 bridge pickup is a great combo that provides a little more 'oomph' without losing that classic Tele sound which is exactly what I am looking for. At first, I was unsure about the 'V' type neck but find that I like it just fine.

This guitar weighs in at 5.8 lbs, so it's crazy light which is a plus for me. The only negatives that I can think of with this particular Tele is that I wish this came with a hard case instead of a gig bag. Also, I am not too crazy about the way it was relic'd (I'm not a big fan of relic'd or road worn guitars). That being said, the general craftsmanship of this guitar far exceeded my expectations and is on par with my American made Telecasters. Frets were nice and smooth with no burrs or sharp edges of any kind and quite simply, the guitar I received was extremely well put together. The light weight, uniqueness and awesome killer tone that this Tele provides far outweigh the negatives that I stated above. To put it simply, this one's a keeper in my book!

Vintage Telecaster for a decent price

    By James6198

Comments about Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Overall, the feel and sound of this guitar is amazing. Sure, it's not a American made tele but don't let that stop you from purchasing this telecaster. Vintage '64 bridge pickup and a twisted tele neck pickup. I modified the pickguard to make the paisley stand out but other than that, it's perfect the way it is. It's a vintage '64 telecaster without breaking the bank.

Poor setup, not a feeling of quality

    By Dave

Comments about Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I had high expectations, given the rave reviews from all dealers and individuals on YouTube. But in the end, the guitar had a buzz that wasn't going away, the split saddles had the strings in the cracks, and it just didn't play well.

    Pros:

I guess the pickups were cool. Hard to hear over the weird string buzzes.
Interesting neck shape. Might have been nice one all the black oil was cleaned off.

    Cons:

Oily neck (on top of the lacquer, why?) you end up with black fingers playing this guitar, even after changing strings.
Oil on the backs of all the tuners.
D and G strings buzzing up and down the neck, in spite of the saddles being cranked up.
Weird belt sander ledge on the "arm wear" area.
Ridiculously light. Felt like a plywood silvertone guitar.

All the setup measurements looked ok, but it just didn't play well. It buzzed and something kept cutting into my right hand a the bridge. This was too much money for a guitar that was going to need work to get playable. The more I read online about this model needing new saddles, nut, neck shims, the less excited I got. I really wanted to like this guitar, but it wasn't happening. My $299 2008 Mexican tele plays far better and it couldn't touch my 52 American Vintage reissue.

I don't blame guitar center. This was brand new, untouched, out of the sealed box from fender.

Comments about Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster Electric Guitar:

These guitars have a finish problem that makes the necks unplayable. They used a special finish that checks and relics easily. Unfortunately, this finish is extremely sticky; much more so than even a classic vibes tele. I trIed three guitars at three deferent stores. All three had the same problem. Staff tried to blame the issues on previous customers hands being sticky. Nope. These came defective from the factory. Expect these to be clearanced soon. Buy one on clearance and sand down the back of the neck. Neck would be a nice thick profile if not for bad finish.

Comments about Fender Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar in store about a month ago. The biggest draw to this guitar was the neck. I really felt more comfortable than I have ever had with any electric. I am mostly an acoustic guitar. This guitar felt like an extension of me...I really fell in love with it. I also love the road worn feature...! A guitar is meant to be played and banged on. The sparkle finish...is definitely not me. But couldn't pass up the deal. I cant wait to break it in more.
