Give it a 5 stars but I am still getting used to using this. I have always used the Digitech Vocal Processors so this is a little tricky to get used to but so far I am happy.
I would recommend this highly

I use this for recording harmonized vocals, and vocoder, which is my favorite effect. It works best with octave harmonies that don't need to track to an instrument. It works OK with guitar but sometimes the original vocal cuts in. The guitar strumming also bleeds through a little, so you have to limit it. Harmonies are better with keyboard input, or I record MIDI, run it out to a keyboard and then back into voicebox. It really shines when used with different keyboard tones as input on vocoder. Adopts the tone of the KB. Good when mixed with different tones.

Will this harmonize vocals to guitar in different tunings? Ie E flat, or D tuning?
Yes, it will. It doesn't really know different tunings, only what it's told. The harmonies are determined by the chords played on your instrument and the notes you sing. Have fun.submitted2 years ago

I bought this and hooked up a xlr mic to it and hear nothing. Took the mic to a local guitar center store and both the mic and cord are fine. The output is a instrument cord to my amp which only picks up sound from an instrument from input. The xlr input isnt being picked up at all. Not sure if i need to purchase a xlr to instrument cable converter then to my amp or what. I also left a message with electro harmonix to get in touch. Please help, this wasnt a cheap purchase!
