Fantastic Speaker

Comments about Celestion G12 Century Vintage 60W, 12" Neodymium Guitar Speaker:

I just replaced the Gold series stock Celestion that came in my Marshall JCM200 DSL 401 with this speaker. It's made an incredible difference in tone. The amp sounded muddy before - on any channel. Now I can go from chimey to bluesy to rock and roll. I took a chance on this upgrade as I was going to sell the amp. Not now, the speaker saved the day.

Comments about Celestion G12 Century Vintage 60W, 12" Neodymium Guitar Speaker:

I've owned several Celestion Neo Vintage speakers and recently picked up this speaker to put into a Port City Oversized 1x12 cabinet which replaced an EV 12L speaker (heavy and bassy sounding speaker). The EV weighted about 20 lbs and the Neo is about 3 or 4 lbs. My cab went from weighting about 50 lbs to 34 lbs and it still sounds great. Does it sound like the EV? No but that's a matter of tweaking the EQ a bit and it sounds just the way I like it. I use this cab for gigging and it's perfect, lightweight and sounds great. I did install a Weber Beam Blocker in front so it helps kill the directional projection and helps the speaker sound bigger for just a 1x12 cab. I'd put this up against a 2x12 or 4x12 cab for a live situation any day.
