Auralex

collapse expand iconDescription

LENRD stands for Low-End Node Reduction Device. As you may know, a resonance bump in a room's frequency response is called a room node. Now, thanks to LENRD, you can achieve low-frequency accuracy other companies can't give you.

Bass traps substantial enough to control nodes have always been expensive to buy or intricate and time-consuming to build, but not anymore. LENRD is extremely effective at smoothing out low-frequency room nodes at a price that anybody can afford.

16 linear feet per box.

For installation, LENRD Bass Traps require Auralex Foamtak spray adhesive (sold separately, - see #422605), which allows you to remove the foam later. For more permanent installation use Tubetak (sold separately - see #422606) or Tubetak Pro liquid adhesive applicators (sold separately - see #472436).

We are in the middle of a studio build. I was excited to see these in "brown" as my tracking room has wood and canvas tones. Brown turned out to be a dark smoky burgundy which worked okay in the office. Still an awesome product!

These really made my office size room sound better when playing a 400W Bass amp and a DSL 100 Full stack ele guitar together. I REALLY noticed a better cleared sound! They wouldn't stay up with heavy duty outdoor double sided tale alone. I had to get some T pins from Hobby Lobby (sewing section). You can color the silver pins black with a permanent magic marker, and they become very noticeable.

Auralex bass traps are great to treating your room, and killing the low frequency. I use some in my vocal room and they are great. The cost it a little high, but they are worth it.

These are very good at reducing standing waves in small rooms. If you want to improve the quality of your recordings then you need to tune your control room, if you can't afford to build new these are one the best investments you can make. Just take care how you apply the Lernd Bass Traps, it is easy to make the room dead, which is not always desirable.
