The Allen & Heath ZED-12FX USB mixer puts a professional live and recording solution at your fingertips. Designed for small ensembles, the 12-channel ZED-12FX provides mic/line inputs to connect all the microphones and direct input boxes you need, in addition to three stereo line channels with independent gain and EQ controls. However, what really sets the ZED-12FX apart is its built-in multi-FX processor, offering 16 studio-grade effects to perfect your tone. From warm hall reverbs to psychedelic flangers, the ZED-12FX has an effect for every occasion. The Allen & Heath ZED-12FX is a compact yet fully-featured mixer and USB interface ready to elevate any performance.

16 High-Quality Digital Effects

At the heart of the ZED-12FX are 16 digital effects crafted by Allen & Heath's engineers. These include reverb, delay, choruses and more, all with adjustable parameters to customize your sound. Five effects even allow you to tap in the tempo, while an FX PFL feature lets you audition effects before sending them to the main mix. For small groups who want great sound without extra gear, the ZED-12FX's built-in effects are an ideal solution.

Flexible Connectivity For Any Setup

With six mic/line inputs, three stereo line inputs and USB, the ZED-12FX provides all the I/O you need for a professional live show or studio session. The mic preamps offer up to 69dB of gain to handle any signal, while the stereo channels accept additional line inputs via RCA connectors or USB. You can then send signals pre or post fade to the four aux sends for monitoring and effects. The USB interface also makes it easy to send and receive audio from your computer for recording, playback or using software effects.

Roadworthy Design

Despite its compact size, the ZED-12FX is built to withstand the rigors of live performance. It features rugged metal construction, vertically mounted circuit boards and 100 mm faders for precise level control. An included padded gig bag provides stylish yet durable protection for transporting the mixer to and from shows. For small ensembles seeking an all-in-one live and recording solution, the road-ready Allen & Heath ZED-12FX delivers professional results, now available at Guitar Center for an affordable price.

Wanted a back-up due to the frustration of the Soundcraft 12, but actually think the Soundcraft's affects might be a little better, even though I haven't had a chance yet, to really explore. However, the Allen & Heath actually did make my cheaper speakers sound better. More of a straight-forward, easier board to understand as well, even though I have yet to hear back from my email I sent more than 3 weeks ago, to Allen & Heath.

  • Great quality, excellent sound and easy to use. Love it!

Purchased this mixer 4 years ago. It is by far the best I have ever used. It took a few minutes to learn some of the functions, but overall operates much like any other mixer. The connections are straight forward, I use Mogami cables and KRK 8" monitors with sub woofer and the sound reproduction is amazing - true to input. The 100mm faders are great quality, the effects are acceptable, particularly for built in FX, the mic-pre's (with switchable phantom power available) are as good as I have ever heard from on board pre's. The number of in & out connections are more than enough for home studio use (6 Mic/line & 4 stereo ins, 2 main outs, 4 aux outs 2 each pre & post, mono out, record & alt out, 2 headphone outs - 1/4" & 1/8" as well as ST & 2TRK returns). I comes bundled with Cakewalk to bundle SONAR LE and with USB connectivity, it is truly plug and play. If I were ever to replace this board, it would only be to upgrade to Allen and Heath's Firewire mixer. There is nothing more I could ever want from a mixing board. Thanks!

  • A Dueling Piano Mixer

I have a dueling piano show that I book frequently for corporate events and private parties. Hauling gear has been a real back breaker. This mixer is one of he items I bought to reduce my load. The board performs well in every aspect of my needs for a team of two piano players. The effects are limited, but excellent, and more than enough for any vocal setting I use. The mixer has three usable busses for monitors, one more than I need. (The fourth is a dedicated onboard effects bus. The signal is very clean and noise free, and the channels have enough EQ control that a graphic EQ is not needed. A great little lightweight board that fills all my needs. I ilke it.

Does this mixer have true multitrack recording? I.e, does each individual channel on the mixer show up in the DAW as a separate track - similar to the Tascam Model 12? The explanation on the Allen and Heath website is not clear.
