Delivering all the rich, sonic density that Moog synthesizers are known for, but with double the headroom of the Sub Phatty, the Moog Subsequent 25 is an agile instrument for unique sonic expression. This two-note paraphonic analog synthesizer fuses classic analog sound design with seamless integration into modern digital workflows and DAW environments. The compact Subsequent 25 has a streamlined interface and features a redesigned, high-powered headphone amp, and 25 full-size, velocity-sensing keys.

Designed for Portability
The Subsequent 25 is Moog’s most compact keyboard synthesizer. The Sub 25’s compact footprint fits into any situation, proving equally reliable moving from stage to studio and everywhere in between—yet still fills any room with powerful synth bass, dynamic analog percussion, and harmonic-rich leads. Dial-up rich analog bass by stacking all three of Subsequent 25’s Oscillators in Unison Mode. As with its larger 37-key sibling, Subsequent 25 also has the ability to play more than one note at a time using the Duo Mode function. You can also trigger its analog sound engine in a myriad of ways. You can interface with your favorite DAW using DIN and USB MIDI or integrate with other voltage-controlled analog gear using its four onboard CV inputs. Or, go fully manual with its updated fast-action keybed.
Updated Multidrive Circuit and Ladder Filter
The Subsequent 25’s new analog filter section extends well beyond the original grit and growl of the Sub Phatty. It contains the transformative Multidrive circuit, a variable multi-stage drive circuit that delivers overdrive and distortion. Multidrive is a unique combination of OTA distortion and FET drive. Through the creative use of the Multidrive circuit, Mixer Section (with optimized headroom) and Ladder Filter, you can achieve a wide range of classic and modern tones. The reshaped gain staging in the Ladder Filter boosts harmonic saturation and analog compression, resulting in an overall richer low end.
The Subsequent 25’s internal Patches memory stores 16 user-rewritable presets, preloaded with expertly programmed patches. These will help get you creating right away. Then you can explore the 32 front-panel knobs to design your own library of unique analog sounds. You can also create and recall an infinite amount of patches with the free Moog Editor/Librarian Software.
Redesigned Headphone Amp
In addition to the Subsequent 25’s mono audio output with a dedicated volume knob, Subsequent 25 provides a front-panel headphone output with a separate volume knob. The redesigned, high-powered headphone amplifier is strong enough to drive even the most demanding headphones.
