Overview

The Meinl Mb10 Crash Cymbal has a bright, warm and well-balanced sound in a wide dynamic range. Full, even and soft responsive feel with an extensive spread.

How did Meinl get a totally clean modern sound with no weird overtones? Simple--they started with the right alloy. One that no one else uses. Then shaped it into a cymbal with overlapped hammering and ultra-fine lathing. Add to that their two-step high-polish process. And then you have the warm crisp sound of Mb10, with a mirror-like finish. The Meinl Mb10 series is made in Germany using B10 bronze alloy. Good for metal, punk, alternative, country, rock and pop.

Great attack and durable

By Johnny Mental

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I rehearse 6 days each week and crash these cymbals for hours each session. Not only do they sound great, but very durable too. The crash has a very clean tone even when being used constantly when driving the music.

Meinl MB10 medium review

By Steve Stoll

from Fort Wayne, IN

Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I have recently switched all of my cymbals to the Meinl line. I mostly play the Generation X series as I am replicating programmed sounds with my band. I thought I would try one of the MB10's as I needed a more traditional crash for certain accents. This is exactly the sound that I was after; bright, quick, and very explosive for a 14" crash. The Meinls seem to have a softer feel, probably given the difference in alloy from other makers. I love how it feels like you play into them. I know that most players in the U.S. are still unfamiliar with Meinl but they owe it to themselves to check 'em out.

Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I bought the 16 and 17 inch ones and they both cracked super easily, but I'm a heavy hitter and play stuff like megadeth and pantera. Wouldn't recommend for players like me, but they do sound and look nice!

    Cracks

    By Brock Tacker

    from Texas

Comments about Meinl Mb10 Medium Crash Cymbal:

The 18 and 19 inch models sound great, but the biggest issue with was cracks. I bought one and it cracked. Thinking it was a fluke because I crack very few cymbals I bought another. After a few gigs and regular practices it cracked again in the same place and shape. Maybe I've been unlucky with these, but its a little odd to me. Get the pro coverage.
