Overview
The Martin Custom Auditorium 42-Style Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood Deluxe Natural is an heirloom-quality acoustic guitar. The triple-0 body is shallower than a dreadnaught, but still projects with an exceptionally balanced tone. Spec'd with rare tonewoods, this Custom Shop model is a pleasure to look at, and to play.
The sitka spruce top incorporates Martin's VintageTone System (VTS), which ages the wood, making this acoustic a portal to the past. The back and sides are Wild Grain East Indian rosewood. European flame maple binding outlines the back and soundboard. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose with aging toner, this Martin has the warm glow of a vintage instrument, with more of a satin texture.
The select hardwood neck has a modified V-shape profile, perfect for fingerpicking. The black ebony fingerboard has abalone snowflake inlays and is bound in flame maple.
Other features include Schaller gold GrandTune tuners, a modern belly-style black ebony bridge, and bone saddle and nut. It comes with a Martin 533E hardshell case with cabernet lining.
