Overview

The 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar improves on a previous model known as the 000-15S. The 15 Series 000-15SM shares the same all-mahogany body with slotted headstock as its predecessor but now comes with a morado fingerboard and bridge, real rosette, improved fretboard inlays, and nickel tuners with butterbean nobs. This small-bodied guitar harkens back to an earlier time before the invasion of the dreadnought. It features a 12-fret body design that offers up plenty of woody tone and volume, in spite of its compact size. This is a great guitar for fingerpickers or anyone looking to acquire an instant classic.

Includes case.

Great Small Body

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I first saw the martin 15 series at guitar center months ago. But the guitar centers in Ct. only stock the d15 and 00015m not the sm. So I ordered the Sm and waited only about a week and it was quite worth the wait! It has a very warm tone and because of the 12 fret neck joint it gives the guitar a little bit more bass. The neck plays flawless and the grain looks amazing. Overall its a great guitar for finger style, folk or blues. but it might fall short with loud strumming that a dreadnought would be better for. best guitar I've ever had!

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

This is an amazing guitar. Mellow, great bass tone and very light. This is my favorite guitar. If I did it over again I would consider getting the electric version of this guitar. This guitar is a little quiet and I wish I could play it for gigs but I can not because it cannot hook up to my amp.

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I have had very few guitars in my life that I thought were perfect when I bought them. This guitar is a rare exception. It came to me set up for a mix of fingerstyle and light strumming, and the sounds you can get range from woody to ethereal. The build quality of this guitar is exceptional. Every detail is flawlessly executed, and no upgrades are needed. Instead of flashy decorative touches, you get a bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge pins, and a nicely "plek'd" fingerboard. The minimal decorations that exist (rosette, inlays, and tuners) are tastefully done and add to the guitar's mojo. I am not exaggerating when I say that playing this guitar transports me to another place. It's a new guitar, but it has an old soul.

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I haven't put this down since I brought it home. It has awesome tone, good feel; would rather play this than my 14-fret GPCPA4R. Out of the box it was in tune and needed no set up. It has become my favorite and go to guitar in my arsenal. You will not regret buying this.

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I am learning (always learning) finger style, and my teacher let me play his 000-15sm. I didn't want to give it back. Play it soft, or bang away, the thing holds it's tone throughout. Gorgeous, rich tone and sustain.

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this beautiful guitar as an "Open Box" and was concerned of what might be wrong with it. I played one locally and fell in love with the look and the sound and playability. When I received it in the mail I was blown away at the stripped look of the mahogany and the throaty smoky sound it had. Nothing was wrong with it! The only thing I had to do with it was purchase a pickup and have it installed. I play every Sunday leading worship and also play in my chick band "One Heart." Love love love this guitar! Felt I got a killer of a deal with $500 off because of it being an "Open Box" item.

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar was well set up right out of the box. Very happy with the sound and the size. I cannot play a dreadnought, too big. This guitar fits the bill for a rich tone, some loudness, and great comfortable size.

Comments about Martin 15 Series 000-15SM Mahogany Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I have owned about a dozen Martins. I own five at this time. This is the oldest one I still own. I won't give it up. I'm an habitual buyer trader. But this is the one that won't go anywhere. It's my go to guitar. Sounds stunning. So simple to play. Easy to engage in any style. I use a pick and it works.
