Great Practice Amp

By Ernest Osborn

from Huntsville, Al

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Nice amp... good bang for your buck. Bought for a practice amp, but really has enough to be in between... whats the point if you have a 100w amp but can't turn it up past 2 :) ... Just a few quick categories below Looks - AWESOME! Sound - Good... I like the simplicity... the contour is an interesting setting... easy setup & adjustments.. No buzzing.. No fancy smancy stuff ..just a real good amp! Interface - Easy... also has an input which a lot of practice amps do not have... I run my tablet into the amp for backing tracks so this is a necessity Quality - Well made, quality construction everywhere. The Carbon looks really good too. Durability - I have had no issues

Best Practice Amp I have ever owned!!!

By James Huff

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

OK, so I have owned a lot of practice amps (Gorilla, Pevey, Crate)and while some have sounded good, they didn't sound great. So I went through life thinking you had to pay a lot for great tone. Well I was in the market for a new amp and I saw that there was a $60 Fender amp online. I went to get it, the guys had no clue what I was asking about. Great. Then I saw this Marshall. Now, I have never really thought Marshalls were worth the money (I mean Slayer uses them as dummy stacks) so I wasn't interested at first then I got to thinking "Well, I've tried everything else" and the price was right as well. So I take it home, unbox it, plug it in, and OH MY GOD!!! The tone on this is amazing. Clean and Crunch both sound GREAT!!! If you are on the fence about this, just go ahead and get it. Love it. Special thanks to Trey, Spencer, and Mike at the Town East store in Mesquite, TX.

Great Sounding Practice Amp that can take a beating

By ronald rangel

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've tried a bunch of practice amps in the 4" to 6" speaker range. This Marshall sounds great and the speaker has a very nice voiced tone. For about 10 months or so I've been walking six blocks to guitar classes, band classes, and tossing it in the trunk to drive to friend's houses to jam. This has taken a few hits and still sounds great and the electronics are still quiet. You would be surprised how much sweeter the solid state marshalls sound with an 8" speaker. So why buy this one? Well I my needs were for a quieter classroom amp, something I could carry on the walk to my classes and finally I didn't really want to spend $200 on a practice Amp. Whats the point? I wanted to put that money on a real nice setup. So for me this is the min you can spend and still get good tone.

Great

By VICTOR SWANN

from Little Rock

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Bought this for my child to sing with, The 'toys' from a toy store broke in a week, so I went to guitar center and bought a Marshall amp, and inexpensive microphones and cables. I bought the extended warranty and have not needed it. They take abuse of a 5 year old, and has a very natural sound. It would be good for practice at home. You can hear it through the house but not outside.

Great little amp.

By MARIO TRZINSKI

from Mateno, IL

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Love it! I have my main amp but that too large to lug around from room to room and outside. This is just the perfect size and I'm quite happy with the tone for such a small amp. I would recommend it as a 2nd or 3rd amp and for beginners.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

I use this for home recording, and practice. You don't have to find a bunch of different pedals with this. just plug it in and adjust some dials walaa, a rock amplifier. Or you can plug in the headphones for a great noise free world. This amp puts the rock back in rock and roll, without spending $1,000.The marshall mini stack sells for $44,skip that, buy this one.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Good little amp for the money lightweight and very portable sounds pretty good I mostly use it for metal and classic rock has decent Overdrive but of course not a good choice for someone looking for more sound and Power but that's not why I purchased this amp I haven't experienced any issues with this amp I watched a few YouTube videos reviewing this amp and all the videos were surprisingly good although a lot of the comments said this amp had a lot of buzzing sounds, not true with my experience I have a quality cable and properly grounded power and not much electronic interference the only noise the amp produces is when the gain on the overdrive channel is cranked to maximum but it does not interfere when the guitar is playing.. I intend on purchasing a effects pedal for some more death metal sound although this amp does that pretty good on its own seems like it's never enough with most amps.

I was not sure about getting this amp as it was the bottom of the line, but boy was I surprised. For a home practice amp it has a great sound and the overdrive is awesome.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Being an intermediate player on Acoustic, I really wanted to dive into Electric guitar. I play mostly old country and old Delta Blues. After my guitar purchase I was in search of an amp that was of high quality and good sound. My new Marshall fit the bill. I could not be happier with this amp. Sound is fantastic on the clean channel and the overdrive is awesome and compliments my Les Paul. I really like the headphone and iPod input jacks. Very easy to play along with the backing tracks coming through the amp. When not playing the guitar, I plug in my IPad and listen to talk radio while doing chores around the house. Voice quality is quite good. Excellent product.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG10CF 10W 1x6.5 Guitar Combo Amp:

Wow, this is a great little amp for home use. Surprisingly light and compact and portable, much more so than even the normal smaller models by Line6 or Fender. This is the perfect amp for home use, or for taking to a friends house -- bigger than the tiny handheld ones, but smaller and lighter than the standard small amps by most manufacturers. Sounds nice both clean and distorted. Has jacks for headphone and ipod or music source. Only drawback is no pedal to switch between clean and distorted channels.

All in all it's a good amp for the money. Easy to use, sound is decent enough, not great but for a small amp it does the job. Extremely portable and light weight. In summary i'm pretty happy with it.
