Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

My plan was to create a moderately-powered and priced modern tube rig. I bought this cabinet to go with my Bugera T-50 head. I'm relatively new to both items (a few weeks) but am very pleased with the way it handles the clean and lead/overdriven channels. I got both items on sale, so the total rig was about $600. I'm very happy with this setup and assume the cabinet would do as well with other heads. It's made for the Marshall DSL 15-watt tube head, but rated for 160 watts of power, so should be able to handle a vast array of head wattages. It puts forth great highs and super chest-thumping lows. Loud and clear, plus the upward-tilted top speaker really helps distribute the sound around the room. It handles my Strat's single coils, SG's P-90s and Les Paul's humbuckers equally well. (The P-90s REALLY sound cool.) Overall, great cabinet. Very well balanced. Hope this is helpful.

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

This a great cab, not as good as my 4x12 1960B but for a 2x12 great sound quality cuts through the mix & a lot lighter to transport to gigs !!! at age 65 4x12 is just to heavy to lug around !!!

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

One of my favorite cabs I've ever played thru. Looking for Marshall to add a code small amp head or add reverb to the dsl15 head...come on Marshall don't make me buy another blackstar product to sit on top of this beast.

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

I bought this cabinet to go with my Bugera T50 amp and it is a perfect match. It fits behind the seat in my pickup truck , not to heavy so it's easy to haul about and the 2 12" speakers deliver plenty of volume for 98% of the gigs I'm doing. A great cabinet that doesn't break your bank account

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

I needed a bigger sound than my 1x12 combo could deliver. This was the ideal balance between portability and power because I don't need a 4x12 for the gigs I play. The 2x12 Celestions give a warm, full sound with plenty of sparkle in addition to that Marshall growl. I gigged with it 2 days after delivery with a Quilter Mini 101 head. It cut through the mix for leads and rhythm without my needing to use excessive volume as I did before. The slant design allows me to hear myself - I used to have to bring a tilt stand. I use a hand truck because I'm not young anymore, but at 50 lb with dual side handles I could carry it by hand if needed. This is definitely not a toy despite the low price.

I love it at home for practice. Even at bedroom volume the tone is full and crisp. The closed back also keeps the sound manageable at home. I'm glad I didn't wait any longer for this purchase.

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

Nice clean classic Marshall tone with this 2X12 cabinet. My son noted that while playing at his regular coffee shop gig, he received more compliments about his guitar solos with this cabinet. His other cabinet is a cheaper Marshall 4X12 that sounds too bass heavy for his usual style of music.

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

Just love the size and shape of this 2x12 cabinet. Great for small stages. I use mine with a 15 watt EVH LBXI and it just rips! I have also tried it with my 50 watt EVHiii and it really takes off. Great for fitting in small cars as well. Easy to hear without having to use a speaker stand like most 2x12's. It's also a great value. Love this thing!

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

Not a bad cab depending on your tone desires. Sounds out to lower tones best but still has a bit of sparkle on the upper end. I think that the amp plays a big part in it. I'm setup to a Marshall DSL15H.

Comments about Marshall 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar Cabinet:

The cabinet is not solid wood of any kind but MFB; said by some to be better, but others say it is not really a great material of which to compose a cabinet. MFB is light weight and has no real resonant properties.

Swapped out the factory Celestions with lower power but great sounding Celestions:
A Greenback Celestion; and an Anniversary Celestion...lowering the power to 50 watts only.
The result is a great sounding cabinet which sounds wonderful with Single Coil Guitars or Humbuckers.
The MFB it is constructed of is no problem at all....THIS CABINET W NEW SPEAKERS....ROCKS.
The upgraded Celestions make all the difference in the world; and the speaker swap was easy.
Buy it and upgrade with whatever speakers you like...Vintage 30s, EVH, whatever you prefer.
Cabinet is a great design/platform but the stock eighty 70s just do not get it (standard in Hot Rod).

Using it since the immediate upgrade with a Marshall Mini Silver Jubilee...sounds great dirty or clean.
If you have the $ to upgrade it can become a great cabinet; as it comes I would only give it 3.5 stars.
Upgraded to your personal experience and taste I would have to give it 5 stars.
