Markbass MINI CMD 121 P V 1x12" Combo Bass Amp Black

I play with an acoustic trio in small to medium venues. I used it yesterday at a medium size bar/restaurant situation and it passed with flying colors. Great tone, plenty of headroom left. It's replacing my venerable Fender BXR25 (power supply fail). CMD121 vs Rumble 40, no contest.

Great for home use and band settings. Haven't played it live, but it has no issues keeping up with a heavy drummer and guitar in a metal type setting for rehearsals. It's also incredibly light and compact, making it easy to transport.

At age 73 I sought to find the best amp for Big Band Bass for me. This has the small footprint (26.6 lbs), great Italian looks, massive headroom/TONE, and the best features. This latest version V has everything conveniently on top. Find a GC and audition this amp! Highly recommended.

Both my Rumble 100 and R200 were inadequate in Big Bands. The R200 sounded fine but was too large/boomy for Seniors Musicians I play with. I splurged for the CMD 121pV. It's PERFECT! Exquisite Tone and Massive Headroom in a small/light combo. Cover it! Use the financing for discounts.

Having played guitar for around 30 years, I started playing bass at Music & Arts to entertain myself while my son was taking violin lessons last year. I had enjoyed the sound of the Fender Rumble bass amps but when I finally splurged to buy a bass the 100W Rumble they had for a while had sold so I settled for an Acoustic. Despite its promising specs, design and features it never delivered tone that inspired regardless of settings (with my Fender Player Plus Active P-Bass). The Acoustic went back. After varied research and varied YouTube review videos I decided to splurge on the Mark Bass 58R based combo rather than the Black Series option with similar dimensions and 1x12" configuration. The quality of construction for stress-free portability should I travel to play with friends or ever gig with bass was a factor, the "clip" light helping protect the circuitry for the gain knob was a factor as was the simple fact that it sounds and feels good with settings in the middle of all the knobs and the tonal variation from vintage to modern sounds and four band eq were all valuable features. It's also reassuring to know if I ever need to plug into an extension cab for more volume in a band setting it's got plenty of wattage to make it work without having to upgrade to a different amp. Buy nice or buy twice, right?
