Live applications
A 7-band graphic EQ is available on the master output, switchable for tuning mains or monitors, and an aux output is perfect for driving a monitor mix. There is a 3-band EQ (80Hz, 2.5kHz and 12kHz) on all three input channels. The input scheme features four XLR inputs with TRS option, as well as dual 1/4" stereo input channels. A built-in USB interface allows recorded music to be played between sets, and you can even use it to bus your mix to a recording device. 60mm faders.

You can directly connect guitar, bass and other instruments via Hi-Z input or connect a microphone and take advantage of the Vita preamp. It features a 100Hz low-cut filter and 48V phantom power on all mic channels, along with a stereo RCA tape I/O with input level control. A headphone output with separate level control gives your engineer a second point of reference. The ProFX8v2 also has Balanced XLR and balanced/unbalance ¼-inch main outputs, an FX mute with remote control via footswitch, and a break switch that mutes all channels for music playback between sets.

Built like a Mackie
Mackie 's legendary Built-Like-A-Tank design is reflected in the solid steel chassis, tough ABS side protection, and quality posts and knobs combine to protect your investment. Rugged and roadworthy are two of the most common adsjectives used to describe Mackie equipment. With mixers, that is a critical attribute. For international traveling, the ProFX8v2 includes a robust internal multi-voltage power supply

Comments about Mackie ProFX8v2 8-Channel Professional FX Mixer with USB:

Jackie KILLED it with this model. Colorful knobs, easy to see and use. The headroom on the channels are insane. Tried to produce feedback and couldn't. Having a monitor volume and mix control on the mixer is great for me as I have a powered EV monitor. No need to mess with the back and eq on speaker. Plug n rock. Love this thing!

A tasty upgrade for my home based studio!

Comments about Mackie ProFX8v2 8-Channel Professional FX Mixer with USB:

I upgraded my home studio with this Mackie ProFX8v2-8 ch USB mixer. it replaced the Alesis Alto Professional 8 channel I had been using for the last 5 years and I must say, based on the performance so far, I am quite satisfied!... I can clearly hear better definition in my audio with cleaner highs and Mids, I even have noticeably better control over low frequencies from both Radio signal and recorded instrument playback. Of course the self-configuring USB feature is a must-have in any home- based recording project as long as the DAW software is of good quality. I use Logic Pro X via an iMAC 15'' desktop with a secondary smart tv display. I did my own configuration to achieve an average 310 MBps data transfer speed thru the mixer and streamed through a Glyph external HD dedicated to the OS. I have begun recording now and its all good! I gave it 4 stars for now because I have read some reviews that warned about track failure and some other component drawbacks but in fairness, it kind of sounded like those reviews were derived from some long time usage at maximum thresholds for this mixer. Its a light application audio component... you know, you should adequately plan out you audio management system, know what you require and match the specs to the design of your workloads. Its better to fork out some extra bucks and match your needs rather than to strain the project with under rated tech. For my purpose this mixer is on the money! I feel very optimistic about my home studio and I'll recommend it for similar applications and small venue live events.

Comments about Mackie ProFX8v2 8-Channel Professional FX Mixer with USB:

This was beyond what I was expecting! I'm currently stationed overseas and DJ on the side and this was perfect. It's dual voltage so need for after market fuses. The sound quality is really, really as far as the way it amplifies my subs and speakers so the events I DJ are a much easier to fill. he only thing that might be a con to some people, but not to me, is the sound level indicator meter lights. You have to have the volume up by a lot or a significant amount of sound pushing through for the lights to jump up and down. Like I said, small but not an issue to for me. The other thing I like about it is that I can have my subs/speakers with outputs and inputs into this mixer simultaneously unlike other mixers where you only have inputs. With that, it allows for more space for inputs on my subs/speakers. I would definitely recommend this mixer to anyone!

The volume knobs were so dirty, at certain points from 0 to full volume they'd cut out completely. I had the same exact problem with the older version. Over all it was just a poorly made board with a really loud signal. I don't recommend this to anyone really.
