Description

The Meinl Spin Spark Shaker is equipped with a screw-mounted disc that adjusts and amplifies the characteristics of the fundamental pitch. When the disc is tight, the pitch is highest; and it deepens as the disc is loosened. There is a distinctively pleasant supplemental timbre. The shaker may be manipulated in the hand for many filtering effects.

    Like this model a lot. It has great versatility by itself as well as in conjunction with other devices. Definitely a good addition to any percussionists tools.

    these are really the perfect size, they fit right into your hand and can be used like a regular shaker and or the pellets can be swirled around the shaker. this allows for a unique sound that can be manipulated very easily. adjusting the pitch gives you the exact sound you're looking for. i encourage you to buy not only this shaker but the headed spark shaker and the spark shaker that does not have the pitch adjustment. combining one or more of these with each other gives you even more variations to the sound that you can create.

    These are way smaller than they look on the website and I was expecting something about 8 in wide. The website doesn't give dimensions but it says size medium!
