Description

A traditional frame drum from Puerto Rico, this Meinl Plenera Set would typically be used for plena music. The frames are made from rugged plastic and external mechanical lugs tune the hand-selected goatskin heads. The Plenera Set has the feel and sizes of the authentic folkloric Plenera with the advantages of modern materials.

    I was sacred to order these because of those two other comments . Don't listen to the other comments. This product is great, the quality is pretty good and I love the sound. Can't wait to use them this holiday season for parranda.

    I see 2 reviews from 5 years ago... They both complain about flat sound. Maybe its just my environment being a perfect 50% humidity all the time, but these skins sound great. I own over 50 drums from all over the world... I am a huge fan of playing percussion instruments, and I do not find any issue with these. Make sure to tune your drums. If you tune it, they will play.
