    I have this laying on a ride cymbal, and it gives great sizzle and a fun clap type sound when hit directly.

    I was curious because I had never seen one before, so I ordered one. I am glad I did. It adds a little "trashy ambience" when mounted to the djembe properly. It can also be played like a maraca but it produces a very different sound. I only wish it were a bit smaller.

    Excellent presence and effect adding this to your Djembe. I still have to somehow fabricate some mounts to secure them to my Remo tunable Djembe. If anyone has any ideas or knows who makes a product that will hold them in place post a comment on this. Price is also very reasonable...Great job Meinl bringing such a dynamic selection to your hand percussion lineup...and thanks to Guitar Center for all your support. :)
