From humble Chicago, Illinois beginnings to their current Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters, Ludwig has spanned over 100 years of American drum manufacturing. Ludwig Ultimate tenors feature deeper all-maple 6-ply shells hardware and a diagonal cut for the “Ultimate” in projection, tone and durability. 5-ply reinforcement rings, hand-sanded bearing edges, and our exclusive RFST molding process complete the unmistakable "Ludwig Sound".

All Ludwig Ultimate tenors feature the Randall May Free-Floating Lug Bridge and ship pre-assembled.
